Thanks for the link. You are so thoughtful! You have no idea how many times I checked my computer yesterday and thought the site was possibly hacked. I was SO relieved this morning to see FR back.

No amount of aspirin can cure the headache caused by a lack of my FR dose first thing in the morning. I rarely have panic attacks, but yesterday certainly brought me close to one.

Good to know I was not alone in my FRless day and night. You never know if it is just because you aren't in good standing with the in-crowd ***smiles*** Road closed, road structures burning, buildings burning back east, whatever is going on, we'll hear about it first here. We know for sure the network news will "satinize" it for the skew they want the listeners to buy.

The Richmond Virginia accident, now they say there are brush fires causing problems on I-95. They may have to close I-95 down.

LOL Oorang. When I first tried to log on it keep knocking me completely off the net. I thought it was my computer. But then after the 3rd or 4th try (I was persistant or brain dead)I tried a different site and discovered it was not my computer and then thought about the FR2 Yahoo site. After obtaining the link to FR, it still was not the same. It was like a FR-lite. I was just out of sort the entire day. So mostly I just read what was being posted by the few good freepers that continued to soldier on.

Our enemies must know that the media will downplay any instances of destruction. None will dare call it "terrorism" unless it becomes obvious.

While I personally view today's events as markedly alarming, others may question why our ememies would use such unspectacular and low-intensity tactics.

The old strategy of "death from a thousand cuts" may be operational in at least some of today's reported destructive events. In such a case, staying under the national news media "radar" could serve to prolong the duration of the operation. Thus, the "cave of darkness" could connote an atypical lack of media attention.

It appears that escape from New York is now being taken out one bridge at a time.

I don't recall who said the other bridge was 60 miles from New York, that won't be far at all, as the folks who didn't keep the car filled with gas, will start running out about there and if anyone recalls when clinton order the SE coast evacuated, during the big storm.

The roads were packed, you were not allowed off the highways to get gas or food and traffic was at a stand still.

Art Bell turned his program over to the people in the storm, it was a far different story than what was on the news. Full of panic and lost people, I remember one trucker, who managed to find his wife with Art's help on air.

My daughter said that the evacuees came as far as Tennessee.

All this for a storm, imagine a bomb in New York.

To those of you on the east coast, take a look at how far your car goes on 3/4 tank of gas and then look at a map for an escape 'to' place.

Do not use public transportation, it will be taken out in the second attack.

I have told the story of being on the wrong side of the mountain when the snow closed the pass, come daybreak, the desert had hundreds of cars parked, at a roadside cafe that was only about 20X20' foot, Coyote Wells, California. This is on I-8, the road from San Diego to El Centro and Yuma.

There was not a bite of food or cup of coffee to be had in the area, it was about 28 miles from there to the closest cup of coffee.

I have been aware of what would happen when a city is evacuated for 45 years. It is the folks who are out of gas and food that you need to fear, at that point it is not the muslim terrorist, but your fellow citizens who will destroy you.

Well, it's right off the I-95. That's 3 for 3 in the last two days.

Is the bridge incident over? Or, is the media not showing it anymore? What is going on with the media re: these incidents? Does it go back to that dinner they all had with Tom Ridge?
