WASHINGTON (CNN) -- This week's deadly train bombings in Spain will not lead to a rise in the U.S. color-coded terror threat alert system, a Department of Homeland Security spokesman said Friday.
"Based on the current intelligence, we have no specific indicators that terrorist groups are considering such an attack in the U.S. in the near term," said department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse.

It's starting to look like a who's going to nuke who first scenario. Pushing the button may mean massive retaliation and multiple countries involved. This is worse than any Tom Clancy novel could ever have projected. Everyone is building up their supply of warheads and the UN and NATO are merely figureheads with no real power to reprimand or halt rogue nations from building up their nuclear stockpiles and using or selling them or their components at will.
President Bush said "They are either with us or against us." I suggest we use the foreign aid normally meted to those AGAINST US for the assistance of our troops abroad, implement a program to protect our borders (north and south), and conduct illegal alien hunts, sending illegal aliens (including those belonging to sleeper cells) to jail before they do us harm. We need to put some sharp teeth in our threats against those who would harm us before they get that opportunity.

I was unable to access FR yesterday. thought about you and wonder if you knew about the yahoo group site for FR freerepublic2 · Free Republic - A conservative news discussion forum where a freeper posted a link on yesterday that others could access the real FR site.
Bookmark attached link if you have not already for future down periods.
Missed you on yesterday. I did not post much if any because the turnaround time was so slow.

Yup, looks to me that the I-95 explosion was more than yoor basic truck crash.

I'm for that. I would need to know everyone's e-mail addresses through private mail though, because I have my e-mail blocked except to those I allow in (people I know only).

Yes, I saw that on our local news last night. A lot of folks that live here have homes for the summer in Big Bear. They said it was a controlled burn that got out of hand, I haven't seen any local news this morning to see the update. I will check the FR thread.

You are absolutely right - the accidents occurring on bridges and in underpass areas has drastically increased.

This is late, I'm catching up, yes that was the link. I actually copied that from TB2000. I went over there to check on the British guys in the mine for jerseygirl and found that breaking news instead. They scooped us on that. :-)

One more thing, I still haven't seen ONE thing about the incident on I-95 last night on the news. Did I miss it? Or, are they keeping the folks out of the loop?
