WASHINGTON (CNN) -- This week's deadly train bombings in Spain will not lead to a rise in the U.S. color-coded terror threat alert system, a Department of Homeland Security spokesman said Friday.

"Based on the current intelligence, we have no specific indicators that terrorist groups are considering such an attack in the U.S. in the near term," said department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse.

Even if they don't raise the threat level, I think we will really be at pale-red between now and the November elections.

AQ has been planning to attack us in any case, then they got encouragement from the Spanish elections and are further encouraged by the Dems and Clarke's vicious attacks on President Bush.

I think they think "it's now or never" to change the course of the US. The stakes are high, they will do the most spectacular thing they can muster -- I read some reports from back in 1996-98 and the US intel was worried about AQ getting WMD even then.( http://www.janes.com is a pre-eminent intel and defense info site -- solid stuff, no tinfoil -- most of their stuff is only for subscribers, but they do have quite a bit available free too)

The terrorists think what worked in Spain will work here -- and I am afraid to say, it may, given the gullibility of many voters and viciousness of the Democrats, who rather get elected, and have the country destroyed, than save the country.

In reading about this accident, it says that several explosions were heard.

The tankers do have several compartments in them, in the smaller truck that Bill drove, they were to enable him to deliver different types of gas in one load.

I think on the big tanks, it has to do with not allowing the liquid to 'slosh' and start a rocking motion, that would then cause it to overturn.

A lot of strange incidents on the road lately. This CT accident is very worriesome in light of the threat involving that same road. Sure, coincidences happen -- but I'm not buying this one.

The information in this manual is chilling. But a must read to get a good idea of who we are dealing with. The attention to detail is remarkable. The 180-page volume, seized from the Manchester, England home of a bin Laden disciple, offers jihad members guidance on subjects such as assassination, forging documents, and preparing poisons in its 18 chapters. The terrorism manual was placed into evidence last year by prosecutors during the federal trial of four men accused of involvement in the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania (the below English translation was also placed in evidence). All four defendants were convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

OK translation of Voice of Jihad complete - all 41 pages. I think you'll understand why I'm posting a summary rather than a line by line translation :)

- O People of Kuwait. This is an article that chews out the people of Kuwait for working with the US. It tells them they have to join the jihad bandwagon or else. It then goes on to complain about other countries in the region who they don't feel are cooperating enough.

- The weapon the, weapon: O free men of the Arabian Peninsula. This article complains about the Saudi ruling family, itemizes all of their misdeeds, and reminds the Saudi people that they need to persevere in their attempts to overthrow them.

-The mocking of the religion. Basically this one complains about the lack of respect Islam is getting in the world, and (surprise!) tells everyone because of this they need to work on the jihad.

(You probably have figured out the general theme about now - everything that everyone else does is wrong so you need to jump on the JIhad bandwagon.)

- There are Bin Laden quotes that concern me, specifically from his message of April 2003. If anyone knows where a full transcript of that message is, in Arabic preferably but I'll be happy with a translation, I'd appreciate the link.

I spoke with Indie off the board about my shortwave. Seems I bought one that wouldn't work too well.

He did tell me about the digital tuning I would need to have a more affective receiver; but I think you guys should post that type of advice so everyone knows.

That is why I think it is important for our 'hammers' to post 'receiver' instructions to us on exactly what to buy, where to tune in, and pieces of advice as to how long things like that may be down, and if they will come back up.
