Sounds like another urban legend. It sure has all the signs of one (received in an email, etc. etc.). Careful what you believe.

Wonderful story. Hope you don't mind me posting this.
We Remember
We saw the look upon his face,
Through whispers he was told.
We knew he felt just what we felt,
We wouldnt sit here cold.
We knew this time that we would act,
And not just turn our head.
This time wed go and wed go big,
We wouldnt bomb some shed.
He called them faceless cowards,
He vowed well hunt them down.
We watched as he spoke to us all,
Sincerely, not some clown.
His eyes assured us hed not rest,
Until they paid the price.
Yes wed turn over every stone,
Until they were on ice.
He warned the battle would be long,
That many would forget.
That some would say, lets just move on,
Not him, his mind was set.
We backed him then, we back him now,
The fight must still go on.
We cant back down, we cant let up,
Until the threat is gone.
God Bless our troops as on they fight,
Each day for them we pray.
We thank them all, for all they do,
They are the best, we say.
We will support our President,
Hes proven he will stand.
Well vote for Bush this coming fall,
We will protect this land.

It's so sad to hear the Democrats disparage this man, calling him a crook and a liar (and worse). Other than Ronald Reagan, I can think of few presidents who have treated their position with as much dignity as he has. I'm ashamed of those partisan liberals such as John Kerry who dwell on the negative. I wonder when the last time Mr. Kerry took communion? I'll bet he starts to soon if it provides a photo op.

It is a beautiful story but I thought Bush was a Methodist. Methodists don't have communion every Sunday. This sounds like an Episcopal service, and if so, Bush could not have taken communion there being a Methodist.

It is a true story, but not written by who you think it is. (Amazing how things can get twisted..). AT the bottom is the nickname "Lef". This stands for (from snopes):
This piece usually bears an attribution crediting it to Laura Lefler, a staffer employed in the office of U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee. The Senator's office confirmed for us that Ms. Lefler did indeed write and send the missive:

A goodness flows through this man. He has more than my vote in November. He has my respect, my prayers, and my gratitude.Good story. President Bush/Vice President Cheney in 2004 !

The writer, without saying these words, conveys powerfully one simple fact: the President and the writer were equals before God in His house and in worship of Him; the President knew it and wanted attention directed to God rather than himself. Also, these reports (I've read a number of other personal encounter reports) keep coming up with one beautiful insight: Bush is very spiritually sensitive to the people around him.
