I can't thank all of you enough for your prayers and expressed empathy for my Friend Karen's mother Jackie, who is being operated on Wednesday morning and Tony, Jackie's husband. Your prayers and thoughts will hasten her recovery because we are all in agreement that Jackie is needed here by her family and friends. God Bless all of you!

Jackie went early this AM to the hospital where they are going to ready the artery in her arm for tomorrows surgery. She will stay there all day and early tomorrow the bad pigs valve will be replaced with a new one. The reason for the pig's valve is she will need no blood thinner. I am sure she will come through the operation ok. The next 6 weeks are going to be hard for the family. I will keep you posted and thank all of you so much for your prayers and good thoughts.

I finally heard from Karen, Jackie's daughter, and it seems that the operation did not take place the day it was scheduled as they found antibodies in her blood that were not there before she had her hip replaced about 8 months ago. As a result they had to get more blood from her for a transfusion should she need one.

Finally, on Wednesday the 17th she was in surgery for 12 hours. It was a total success!! Karen said the Surgeon could not stop smiling, he was so pleased with the job he had done and the wonderful results. Not only that, but as of last night she was totally aware of all that was going on and wanted to know if Karen had made appointments to get the dogs groomed? They already had her up and walking. I believe they were talking about sending her home early next week.

Ah, the power of prayer! Thank you all and thank God! We will continue to pray for Jackie's continued quick recovery.
