They might do something rash like slaughter 3,000 innocent American civilians in a single day. Not to mention what they did to a couple hundred Spanish civilians today.

Maybe "Conservative" William Safire will mention that the Nazi version of the Bible eliminated all Jews. That included Moses, David and Jesus who all became Arian. Course that wouldn't paint all Christians as Nazis as Safire and most Liberals believe.

I have seen this movie more than once. I have been on threads telling people it is not anti semitic and defending it aginst people like Safire, Krauthhammer, James Carrol, Hitchens . . . on and on. Not anymore. I refuse to "debate".
Gibson has portrayed The Passion from the Gospels almost to the letter. The "argument" of these folks denouncing it as "anti semitic" is essentially that Christianity itself is "anti semitic". The Passion is the central event of Christian faith. To see the ignorance, arrogance, and complete self absorbtion of some of this movie's critics has been highly insulting to me and to I suspect many others.
I fell no need to defend the central defining moment of my faith against any charge. It is an accurate retelling of The Passion of The Christ. Take it or leave it.

Trick question.
It's not a "would."
It's a "will"

But Safire argues that viewers of "The Passion" will see the Jewish mob and think: "Who was responsible for this cruel humiliation? What villain deserves to be punished?" Coulter, smart girl, puts her finger on something here. Safire's first reaction to seeing the Passion is vengence. He wants someone punished (and he thinks Christians will too). Safire must be a smart man or he wouldn't be where he is today, but he's still too blind to his own heart to realize he's the one filled with hate, not as he supposes, everyone else.

I guess the muslims are counting on the Jesus "freaks" to turn the other cheek and forgive their trespasses.
