Bush is Simply Simplistic... a Simpleton
Hardball with Chris Matthews ^

Former Governor Mario Cuomo is on Hardball right now -- I can only paraphrase... Bush decided to go into Iraq on his own on a simplistic notion that it had to be done. Bush suffers from being simply too simplistic. He campaigned on no nation building -- we would just sit at home and rake in the dough. But after 9-11, it's time for nation building. This is all the result of Bush simply being too simplistic -- he never traveled before taking the presidency.

On the prospect of changes in the Supreme Court and the expectation that Judge Renquist (sp?) may be retiring, I can quote Cuomo: "Amen!"
Chris Matthews couldn't have been happier with this "Hardball" interview.

Cuomo just oozes arrogant elitism. I couldn't stomach the entire interview - had to bail on it.

Chrissy is one of the few who still admires and respects Mario, who clinton called a hood.
What I thought was interesting was when Chris admitted that Kerry's lanquage caught on mike was not that uncommon in the back rooms he was part of. Of course, Chris hung out with Dems, Carter, Tip O'Neil, etc.
No surprise.

Cuomo has a point-the idea of kill or be killed is pretty simple. So why doesn't HE get it?

I won't address the idiotic substance of Cuomo's comments, but I'd sure like to see him produce some proof that Bush "hadn't traveled" before becoming President.

This plays real well in fly-over country.

Cuomo has a point - I thought you were going to stop there and tell us it is on the top of his head.

Was that a "hardball" interview by Chris or just a 10 minute monologue by a depraved mind? That's the only time I've ever seen Chris just sit there and let someone talk for 10 minutes. It was disgusting.

I know my synopsis is pretty lame, so I'll add parts of the transcript when it goes up tomorrow.
I thought Chris was pretty fair in the opening interview with the Republican official (Black) and the Demo (who cares?). But with Cuomo, it really was "Puff-Ball".

Oh? Then you've never seem him go into total wuss mode when Sheila Jackson Lee launches into one of her ridiculous fillibusters.

"Bush is Simply Simplistic... a Simpleton"
Wait a minute. I thought the leftists position was that Bush was the mastermind of holding Saddam until he needed a boost in ratings; that he masterminded tricking all the "little" nations into joining the terrorist fighting coalition; that he masterminded the stealing of the 2000 election; etc.

Okay. Let's all recall the "simpleton" charge the next time an occasion demands they characterize him as a scheming Ivy Leaguer.

The widow Heinz considers herself and John as "complex" people, because of their ability to take both side of every issue.

Chris gets weak-kneed around Hillary and Mario the Pious.
When he giggles like a kid, you know he's in "kid" mode.

he never traveled before taking the presidency. Are we making some kind of list? This is fun. I can add to it, too.
Bush didn't spend his formative years in Europe.
Bush's mother didn't grow up in France.

L'il Andrew is mobbed up, bigtime. I can only assume that Saint Mario is too. Democrats are pure scum, top to bottom, through and through. I woner if Chrissy kissed Saint Mario's ring...

Mario is confusing simple with stupid. So of us have grown up, like the President, and realized life is not complicated. Life is full of truths and absolutes and all the intellectual arguments in the world won't make that go away.
It is truly a mark of perfect maturity when one understands that the elements of life is not a trade-off. Mario and his ilk are perpetual teenagers.
