96-year-old accused of cocaine trafficking
A 96-year-old Kings Mountain woman was involved in a scheme where she traded crack cocaine for stolen property, said Cleveland County sheriff deputies.
Julia Roberts was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine. Also accused was Harold Roberts, 61, who was arrested and charged with possession of stolen goods. Both live in the 100 block of Goforth Road.Police found stolen property at the home this week.
Two other Kings Mountain men were accused in the case: Donald Eugene Bridges, 56, of Antler Court, charged with possession of stolen property, and James Roberts, 58, of Goforth Road, charged with possession of non-tax paid alcohol.
Harold Roberts was being held on $1,000 bond at Cleveland County Detention Center Wednesday night. -- DÁNICA COTO

The sheriff's department charged Julia Roberts with possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell.
Her family said she's innocent and that another relative stashed the crack in her wheelchair.
Two other family members also face charges.
Harold Roberts is charged with possession of stolen goods and James Roberts is charged with possession of nontax paid alcohol.
Deputies say the arrests are part of their effort to stop drug-related crimes in Cleveland County.

Oh, wait... She's 96. So what exactly is the reason she shouldn't be doing drugs?
