[history]
Steven Michael Gardner served side by side with John Forbes Kerry in Vietnam, was wounded under Kerry's command, and was manning twin .50-caliber machine guns on a night that has forever haunted Kerry -- the night his crew killed a young boy in a sampan.

I called the Rock Hill Evening Herald (SC) yesterday to give them a heads-up on this story since it was about Gardner, who lives in nearby Clover, SC.
Within the hour, I received an email from a reporter there saying that a reporter had been assigned to cover the story, so perhaps there will be more revelations from a local interviewer.
Interesting coincidence (?), isn't it, that "within hours" he lost his job? I hope there will be something of this slant in the upcoming interview.

Before this is over Gardner is going to be labled as the biggest scumbag ever to put on a uniform.

Contrast what is happening around Gardner with the reverance W's AWOL accusers were accorded. Still way too much media bias out there.

If he was the one out of ten that attacked Bush's service, MSNBC would be in negotiations with this guy's agents to give him his own show.

This guy had better not find himself in the same car as a Mass Senator on a bridge.

Got to get these stories into the media. Problem is, the media is kerry's protective vest.

Gardner said yesterday that he wonders whether speaking critically about Kerry led to his losing his job as a home inspection field manager. The Brinkley story said Gardner "claims he works at Millennium Services." Within hours of the publication of the article on Time's website, Gardner said, he was fired from his job as a home inspection field manager.

Gardner better be ready for the Dem. anal probe.
Truth does not go over well these days with the Dems.
To: kattracks
I expect that there is one way to find out whether it is Gardner or the other 9 guys who is telling the truth: Look at Kerry's military records.
All Kerry has to do is consent to the release of those records. Of course then we will find out that two of Kerry's purple hearts came from hangnails and the third was a result a stumped toe.

It's too weird. The libs are trying too hard to have a public fight with this guy and the usual approach would be for them to ignore someone who is critical of Kerry.

Brinkley then wrote an article, published on the website of Time magazine Tuesday night, in which he said Gardner's criticism was politically motivated. "After interviewing Gardner for over an hour, it essentially boils down to one word: politics," Brinkley wrote. "Gardner is sickened by the idea of Kerry as president." Ummm...is it not notable that someone who served with him is "sickened" by the idea? Brinkley is covering his a** because he wrote a hagiography and left out a legitimate dissenter. Politics? Sure, that's a component. But why did Brinkley write the stupid book? For educational purposes? Hardly.

And I guess that only those who oppose Kerry are 'crooks and liars?????'
IMHO, this guy Kerry and his minions sure do speak with forked tongue......
