Kerry Decries GOP as 'Crooked' and 'Lying'

Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) dueled with President Bush over taxes and the economy yesterday and then, in an offhand comment to factory workers in Chicago, called the Republicans "the most crooked, you know, lying group I've ever seen," triggering an angry denunciation from Bush's campaign.

Earlier, Kerry campaign spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said the Democratic candidate had no regrets about his characterizations of the opposition. "Not at all," she said. "There's been a pretty high level of Republican attack machine working for the last four years for the sole purpose of smearing the Democrats. We're trying to make this campaign about issues; Republicans are making it about attacks."

What was the "Mothers" part - I didn't hear that comment in Kerry's diatribe.

Dubya just has to do one thing. He has to produce Bin Laden. If he pulls that off during the summer he has no worries.

"We're trying to make this campaign about issues; Republicans are making it about attacks."

Surely, a mirror cracks whenever these people look at themselves.

Next time they come up with this; just wish they would be asked to identify the Repub 'attacks'; and identify their issue-oriented campaign messages.

Even Kerry's mouth is not fit for the Oval Office. Nor is his 'asses of evil' button wearing, wife.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this John Harwood, political editor of the WSJ, is a piece of work.

He is on MSNBC and basically defended Kerry because what he said is what the core base of democrats believe and he doesn't think Kerry should completely back off, just "soften" his message.

The country will be utterly sick of this moron come November ...

What's the over/under on Kerry staying in the race until the general election? He has lots of baggage, and it seems what is driving the liberals is "hatred of Bush" (which is actually hatred of conservatives in general, but it's more effective to personify a target for the hatred), not a favorable perception of Kerry.

I think Kerry will crash and burn sometime before November.

"I am staring to agree. It is war and GW had better declare it."

The real war began with the Clinton's. It was a 'declared war' with Algore losing his bid for President.

Cannot understand why/how this was missed/ignored by the Repubs/Bush camp for the past few years. They never fought back on the 'stolen President' vote in Florida. :"Let's move on' was the Repub response. We let these people get away with the idea that Bush's presidency was not genuinely earned.

In the meantime, the Kennedy Democrats et al. . .have used every ugly tactic to undermine George Bush at America's expense; the Repubs still, do not fight back. Only 'make nice'. . .while the Dems gathered their dark forces. . .we knew they were; including their efforts to by-pass McCain-Feingold.

Now here we are; the Democrat lies are being created/enhanced as reality; of course with co-opting Lib media help.

And still, the Repubs are not in a 'warring mode'; despite the stakes.

Makes me want to scream. . .

"The Prez can't stoop to this level and I am assuming that he's going to let his troops do the gutter fighting for him so he stays above the fray"

Kerry to his disadvantage, is comfortable in the gutter; he will have to resist 'going there' in the debates and in his rhetoric. His biggest challenge is looking presidential and speaking 'presidential' as well.

Easy for Bush; a challenge for Kerry.

What concerns me is that in a 'Jerry Springer' culture; are there enough voters who realize the difference.

This is the pot calling the kettle black. The epitome of hypocrisy!

Imus said this morning regarding Kerry's flip-flops that he is not waffling at all, but it's rather "growth" and "becoming aware." I used to like Imus but he is beginning to nauseate me. The Waffle King will put his foot so far down his throat before November!

What if Kerry was bitching about the UNION to his staff. About them being stuffed into a small workshop with only 50 people for an audience. The press was waiting for him and he did not know the mike was on. I think he had been promised a large cheering crowd by the UNION. He blew his top and now they are saying he meant the Republicans...

short memories in free republic land. GWB ran a very very successful 2002 campaign on behalf of the party picking up lots of seats in the Senate and the House. Do you think he will be less energetic running for his own job? Not likely. He'll make mistakes, but he will always be more likeable than J.FING.K. There is a type of negative activity that turns off people remember the way they turned on Dean? Kerry is just more more stupid comment away from being a nonfactor.

The problem is not that Bush is failing to fight back

It's March. The election is in November.

Let Kerry spew all he wants. Hide and watch.

The Demo convention will be a freak show. Plenty of time, plenty of targets.

Sheeple have short attention span. Timing is everything

Hold fire and stay steady.
