The ETA deserve to have their nationalistic aspirations satisfied by the racist, oppressive Spaniards and the international community. The ETA only seek justice. It is in no way terrorism.
I think Javier Solena would agree with that sentiment......ya think... huh?

They speak Spanish in Gitmo (although I still recommend just killin' 'em).

This could just as well be Al Qaeda type terrorists. Sending a message to Europe not to help out the USA in any way in Iraq. I can't see the ETA trying to kill so many in 5 coordinated attacks.
My bet is no one will claim responsibility but the message will have been sent by the Islamikazis. More needs to develop plus the bombing techniques can be dissected to see if they are familiar and used in the past by a certain group.

Lots of eyewitness reports here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point/3500774.stm Horrifying. My first thought was Al Qaida, but it is starting to look like ETA.
I visit Spain often, around Alicante, and remember when they killed a six year old girl there a year or so ago.

no need to fight terrorism, eh?

Col. Hunt said on Fox & Friends this morning that ETA has trained in Iraq - Salomon Pak (sp). Interesting.

Prayers for our Spanish friends.
There's more than one brand of terrorism that needs to be dealt with harshly. Basque separatists, Arafat's goons, Hamas, etc.

God rest the souls of the murdered and comfort their loved ones.
Spain has been a major ally in the fight on terror and has been targeted in the past.
Now they have their own terrible day to remember, 311, that will, like 911 to us, be their rally call for exterminating the likes of these people.
I personally believe that the ETA had help with this. Smells of Al Quida involvement to me...but still too soon to tell definitively.
