NJ County Right to Life BANNED from St. Patrick's Day Parade, Action Needed!

Please come and join Middlesex County Right to Life in Protest and solidarity on Sunday, March 14th, 2004, at 12:30 pm, at the corner of Rt. 35 and Main St., Woodbridge, NJ, (in front of the Woodbridge K of C building), to watch the Irish Club's St. Patrick's Day parade.
The Middlesex County Right to Life was banned from marching in this parade, being told by the Irish Club parade organizers that they are not religious or political where they implied that the MC RTL was; the NJ RTL/NJ RTL PAC and its county affiliates are non-partisan and non-religious and have backed members of all faiths, ethnic backgrounds in both major political parties who follow a pro-life platform.
The parade is the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Governor McGreevey, along with other pro-abortion politicians (Democrats), march in the parade every year while political grand standing. Since the committee stated that the parade is not political, why then do they allow Governor McGreevey and other politicians to march annually?
Those religious groups such as the Knights of Columbus are pulling out of this parade since they respect the wishes of the Middlesex County Right to Life.
Please come! Also, please forward this email to your pro-life friends and ask them to attend! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT AND YOUR PRESENCE!!!!!
They made plenty of inane and unsubstantiated comments that their by-laws say they can keep out the RTL like they do with the gays and made some inflammatory remarks about "gruesome signs'" and bombing clinics.
No signs are used in the parade except for the RTL name banner.

The Irish Catholic DemonCrats are keeping the Middlesex County Right to Life from marching in the parade. Seems the heat is on because the RTL has been protesting Irish Catholics McGreevey and Sen. Pres. Codey for thier abysmal abortion, cloning and stem cell records. Please FREEP the organizers. The County RTL is made up of devout Catholics and Evangelical Christian who are no harm to anyone, no graphic signs are used just their county banner with their name on it. It's all about politics and Revenge.

The AOH is a private organization and they're the ones who hold a permit for the parade. If they don't want gays in their parade, that's their right. If they don't want right-to-lifers in their parade, that's their business. End of story. I'm sure the county is willing to issue parade permits for other dates to groups representing anti-abortion activists and gay activists, and those groups don't have to let AOH members participate in their parades if they don't want them.

We had the same situation here in Massachusetts for the South Boston St Pat's Day Parade, which was also privately funded.
Irish gays and lesbians wanted to march as a group and were refused. The court upheld the decision to keep them out of the parade.
Be very careful,if this group is allowed to get into the parade, any group could be let in.

Time for someCIVIL DISOBEDIENCE!
Rules don't count if you don't agree with them!
Civil rights trump laws!
Go to the parade anyway!
If they can do it in SF, you can do it here.

Thanks for the ping. I will be with my brother and sister in law this week end and she is Irish and from Woodbridge and I promise I will try and get to the bottom of this.

You are correct! Saint Pat's day should be celebrated as the good Saint intended, with vast quantities of beer, followed by a brawl, vomiting, and reconciliation.
Actually, your point is well taken, if the parade were to let in pro-life groups, what is to stop the Celtic trans-gender midgets from marching, or worse, Senator Kerry.....Oh, that's right, he's Jewish, I mean Black, or was that a woman...anyway, he's a Democrat.

I wonder how well the Irish Club will handle banshees coming there way.
Irish Club -- club of jokers, hooligans, and charlatans on a good day. Club of self-promoting self-seeking power-hungry minions of the opposite of virtue.
No, Siobhan, tell us how you really feel!
This is what I have to say:
Gather up St. Brigid's and St. Padraig's true sons and daughters. We have some snakes to drive out of the land.

They need a banshee alert.

Honestly, you reach a point where you think nothing else could shock you or stun you -- and then, there it is, the AOH has turned into a tool of the Enemy. But this is how the Holy Ghost is operating by bringing evil into full exposure in the light of day so we all can see it and know the truth -- whether it is something like this -- or the usual evil of priests and prelates supporting pseudo-Catholic politicians.
Of course, that these are Irishmen makes me all the more outraged. I am praying to St. Columba and St. Ciaran of Clonmacnoise about these brutes. St. Patrick and St. Brigid and I are going to have a talk now.

You know, I was kind of looking forward to flying in to Boston on St. Paddy's Day -- I'm Irish/Cherokee -- until I spoke to a friend I'll be seeing up there. I told her I was thinking my son and I would enjoy looking around a bit before she gets off work. Her advice was, "Go straight to my place and make yourselves at home. The St. Paddy's Day events are no place for a child."
I thought that was kind of sad.

Exactly, once you let in one group you wind up in court. Next thing you know the parade is procession of both extremes, no longer an event fit for anything but the marchers.
It would be nice if we could finally take back holiday and family events, you want to protest get a permit hold a seperate parade....no matter who you are or represent.

Coleus, here's my letter to the parade organizers:
"Dear Sirs:
"I am appalled that a parade to honor Saint Patrick would exclude those who defend the rights of the unborn. New Jersey Right to Life, consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church, protests the right to abortion in this State. Yet for some reason you feel this viewpoint should be excluded from your parade.
"Would Saint Patrick march with those who support to Right to Life? What do you think?
"Shame on you.
"Sincerely, [D-back}"
Come on, let's Freep these guys.
