Thanks for posting this. We need to get this kind of information out to everyone. The problem is, will they care?

The author isn't a freeper -- at least, not yet -- so I sent him a link to this thread along with an invitation to register.

Gee, I didn't know Kerry was in Vietnam. He never mentions it. :) He's just being modest.
Kerry never mentions his meetings with representatives from North Vietnam and the Vietcong in Paris in 1970 or 1971, either...

Great post!
Kerry's story stinks. I think his Silver Star was "earned" the same way LBJ's was: as part of a pre-arranged political deal.

He's been asked to release them (by TIME mag maybe??) but I understand that he has declined. I don't think anyone but the "owner" of the records (i.e. John Effin' Kerry) can get his/her hands on them. There is no FOIA regarding personal records like that.
But there are quite a few groups organizing to put pressure..after all Bush released HIS...and if Kerry has such a "GLORIOUS" military record, why, I would think he would be proud to put it out there.....don't you????

Yep. Thirty years of tyranny in South Vietnam, grinding poverty, hundreds of thousands of boat people fleeing for their lives. Kerry has a lot to be modest about.

This article brings up a point that has bothered me ever since I heard the basic information on Kerry's war record. How the heck does a guy get three purple hearts and a silver star in four months? Iknew a guy who was significantly more gutsy than me when we worked in the fire department together, he served two tours with the Army at the DMZ, and he didn't have medals like this guy got in four months. Also, it has been my experience that in most situations, after the first medal is awarded for a situation (the Purple Hearts in this instance) that second medals of the same type are generally a little harder to come by. I could be wrong, as my experience is not military, but fire service. I just find it hard to believe that the guy could amass this kind of war record and come home in four months with three purple hearts and without any injuries severe enough to cause some kind of permanent disability. I don't know many guys that pulled that short a tour. It wasn't like checking out of the Holiday Inn to go home.

I think, along with other info available, there should be a Congressional investigation of Mr. Kerry's service in the military. The "charge is so serious" that such an investigation is warranted.
Great Post! I recommend it be reposted periodically, for those that will miss it for one reason or the other.

I most certainly do agree. A great hero like Kerry should be happy to share his records so the world can know how great he is. 3 purple hearts and no days off for injuries tells me he got special treatment.A Bronze star for killing one wounded man when no one saw the actual act tells me someone gave him special treatment. I have one framed and hanging on my wall. I know very well what they are for.

It's a difficult thing to criticize a man for what he may or may not have done under stress....
BUT - Kerry's tour simply doesn't pass muster...
It all seems too contrived....too unbelievable....too convenient and far too short a tour with far too many decorations to accept without first hand witnesses or Military/Medical records to substantiative the "claims"...
It is now clear -- that the CONNECTED and AMBITION Kerry went to Vietnam as an aspiring politician --- and extracted his ass from the war immediatly after getting his "ticket punched" and the medals racked up....
On return to the world -- he IMMEDIATLY began his career by joining with LIARS and TRAITORS and charging his former brothers with War Crimes.... Kerry is worse than a traitor.
Kerry INSISTS on being regarded as a hero, based on the record ..... He should gladly release the records and allow us to decide if he was the "hero" he desires to be or simply another man who served --- but with connections and a plan to save his "lily white ass" and get back home as soon as his three laughable Purple Hearts will permit him....
I think of Kerry as another wannabe --- who wouldn't amount to more than a pimple on the asses of the men I knew, loved and witnessed being a far better man that Kerry could ever dream of being...... NONE, of them were so grandly decorated....and ALL of them gave and risked everything they had for 13 months ---- NOT 4 months...

I agree. He went into the Swift Boats to get his "PT-109" ticket punched, for purely political reasons. I'd like to know all of the details of the Silver Star op, citation, etc. Who put him in for it? What did that person get in return? Who knew the award was in the pipeline, was it handled in an "expedited" way? The entire episode stinks.
