Loan interest rates under Carter were pushing 20%. Home mortgage rates were in the teens. I had one at 11 3/4 % and thought that was good.

Reagan cut taxes and in a few years doubled the income to the government.

Reagan made Americans feel good about their Country, something lacking during the Carter years.

Exxon Mobil corp (gross profit in millions)
Q4-2002=38,014
Q1-2003=30,362
Q2-2003=27,618
Q3-2003=27,291

Chevron Texaco
Q4-2002=13,334
Q1-2003=12,690
Q2-2003=11,748

Profits down, all the way across the board!

For your friend's questions about WMD in North Korea, see Agreed Framework. Proving once again the futility of rewarding villains with money and technology. Pay close attention to the date of this turkey, 1994.

regarding your answer to #2 I would add that Clinton also approved the sale of missile guidance technology and the supercomputers to run it.

Could a real person believe that we had a 12 year recession after Reagan? I know the government schools are nothing but liberal propaganda mills, the text books and encyclopedias say that Reagan's tax cuts only benefitted the wealthy, but the guy had to live through these years!
