Will Democrats condemn Michael Moore's usage of 9/11 for political purposes?
To: Jon Alvarez
No, they won't. I even welcome Michael Moore's new movie, because it won't affect the Bush 2004 campaign at all. In fact, it will backfire.

I also think it will backfire but I signed the petition anyway.

Democrats will decry the movie if it presents Clinton or Gore in a bad light. We all know that WON'T happen.

But isn't that against the law or something, to even talk about 9/11, because it disturbs somebody's privacy, or the case that the Democrat prosecutors are building against al-Qaeda may be compromised in court? Besides that, the Feingold-McCain campaign finance "reform" won't allow any mention in a political advertisement, will it?
To: Jon Alvarez
Hell no I won't sign and I advise everyone to do the same! Petioning only creates buzz. Even if it doesn't effect Bush's re-electon, it still makes Moore(on) money! Please ignore it. The only thing worse than death in Follywood is to have a flop! Want to shut Moore(on) down? Stop making him money!

Rope?
Got enough, Mikey?
Jump off chair.
This con-man is fueled by blind hatred. Let him make his movie. He might do something to enrage the entire citizenry, except for his useful idiot followers.

Miramax won't drop funding of the movie because Moore earned his keep by endorsing Wesley Clark. Wes' family knows a thing or two about dodgy financing of movie deals.
The movie itself is a kind of maneuvre around McCain-Feingold.
Kerry will follow the Hollywood money too.

that's just the first step. As word gets out, we plan to petition theatre owners NOT to carry this vile and indecent film. Or face boycott.
Remember that same argument you pose with regards to "The Reagans"?
Sometimes you gotta take a stand, like terrorism, indecency won't just go away.
