How Dare He Politicize September 11
Human Events ^ | March 10, 2004 | Chris Field

The Bush/Cheney team came under heavy criticism recently for "politicizing" the September 11 terrorist attacks by using Ground Zero images in a campaign advertisement. The anti-Bush crowd cried loud and long that the use of September 11 for political gain is unconscionable.

How, exactly, is that an inappropriate action?

There is no bigger issue than national security in this "new era" as we all like to call it. September 11 and the War on Terror that followed are the ultimate leadership issues and ought to be central in the battle for the White House.

But, if John Kerry and the rest of the Left want to lambaste Bush for using 9/11 for political purposes, perhaps the Kerry campaign should first explain the many references to September 11 and the War on Terror on its official campaign website -- www.JohnKerry.com -- references like this:

Either 9/11 should or should not be a part of Election 2004, but the President's critics, including his Democratic opponent, need to make up their minds.

Just a few items from www.JohnKerry.com:

TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: 2004; 911; 911imagery; ads; advertisement; bush; campaign; democrat; hypocrites; john; kerry; politicize; politics; president; september; terrorist

Gotta get some work done today otherwise it would be fun to rip this apart point by stupid point. This guy is just too funny. I actually thought he was much smarter than he appears to be. Oh well the democrat voters won't notice anyway.

Who's been politicizing the war since the beginning of last year ... at the cost of American lives?

My Rant on Ad Flap.

Why doesn't the media interview me? I could tell how offended I am by John Kerry's traitorous activities since coming home from Nam. I could discuss the fact that I have no idea where Kerry stands on any given issue at any given time since he appears to have no stand.

Though I feel for the families who lost someone on 9/11, the attacks are not their private property. The attacks were aimed at every American. I am sick of people acting like because they lost someone, this is private. Their loss is private but the attacks were not. I will never forget that it was an attack on me, my family, my friends, my nation. I take it personal as should every American.

If George W. Bush wants to use 9/11 in his campaign, that is his right. He was attacked too. His response to the attacks shows the character and courage his predecessor did not have when we were attacked so many times during those 8 dark years.

God Bless America and George W. Bush.

My Poem on Ad Flap

We Remember

We saw the look upon his face,
Through whispers he was told.
We knew he felt just what we felt,
We wouldn’t sit here cold.
We knew this time that we would act,
And not just turn our head.
This time we’d go and we’d go big,
We wouldn’t bomb some shed.
He called them faceless cowards,
He vowed we’ll hunt them down.
We watched as he spoke to us all,
Sincerely, not some clown.
His eyes assured us he’d not rest,
Until they paid the price.
Yes we’d turn over every stone,
Until they were on ice.
He warned the battle would be long,
That many would forget.
That some would say, let’s just move on,
Not him, his mind was set.
We backed him then, we back him now,
The fight must still go on.
We can’t back down, we can’t let up,
Until the threat is gone.
God Bless our troops as on they fight,
Each day for them we pray.
We thank them all, for all they do,
“They are the best”, we say.
We will support our President,
He’s proven he will stand.
We’ll vote for Bush this coming fall,
We will protect this land.

Aw, no politics here. Democrats may "comment", but Republicans only "stonewall", therefore, no dialogue is possible. Anything the Republicans say is only self-serving and assumed to be suspect, while Democrats only seek the truth. Or their version of it, anyway.

And it is just a law-enforcement problem. No need to go to war over it. Just round the terrorists up and bring them into court, then they will know we mean business. We can solve this like gentlemen, why all this vicious attack on Iraq and Saddam Hussein, who NEVER posed a threat to the US? "Everybody knows" Bush has lied from the beginning, and the assault on Iraq was just about the oil.

Hell, if it was just about the oil, and the threat that IS at our borders, we should have gone into Mexico. By now, we could have been dictating a new constitution to the Mexicans. One that allows them to own private property, and extends an equitable system of justice to the entire country.

Talk about exploiting 9/11 and putting the nation at risk for personal political gain . . .

Kerry is recasting 9/11 as an isolated, singular event for which Kerry wants to put George Bush on trial, instead of the terrorists.

Kerry is doing everything within his power to damage Bush's credibility on the international stage, and in the process, Kerry is undermining the Iraq effort in particular, and the War on Terror in general

Kerry and the Dems' behavior is breathtakingly irresponsible. They are delusional if they think that they can easily repair what they are currently damaging. Then again, I doubt they think that deeply. Kerry's only thought is, "Armani or Dior?" relative to the tuxedo he will wear at his first state dinner.

By the way, I'm having a tough distinguishing between Michael Moore's website and John Kerry's.

All kidding aside, Kerry's website is frighteningly juvenile and lacking in substance.

Moore is probably Kerry's webmaster. That would make Kerry a webslave.

Ok- new ad for Bush...

Open on photo of Mary Jo Kopeckne's headstone...narrator says,

"John Kerry wants us to drown our anger about the thousands of Americans murdered by terrorist on September 11th, 2001. Sorry, Senator, if our remembrance is inconvenient to you."

This is so absurd. I hate these idiots, with a passion for real. Anyone that lets Kennedy go for his basic murder cause he 'feels right' about it.. And then they do this?

These people are no better than islamic scumbag terrorists to me.
