[history]
Among those who apparently didn't listen to the 43-year-old unemployed woman whose recorded message was posted online last week by The Republic were Arizona's Jon Kyl and John McCain, along with 24 of their Senate colleagues, all of them collecting fat government paychecks.

As well as the night janitorial staff at the CATO institute plus that Indian "Losing Your Job is Good For You" Institute.

If they're aren't careful Soros will outsource them. I guess we'll know that happens when some of the usual suspects start writing like the guy down at the 7/11.

I've read your sentence several times now and it still makes no sense. It sounds like politician-speak.

I've read almost every post on this topic.
I hate to say this, because generally I respect my fellow Freepers, but there are an immense number of babies on this thread.
The unemployment rate is 5.6%. That is a historical number for full employment. I spent 20 years in the Navy, and just got out, then quickly came into a good job. I know it's my story, not that of many others, but I'm also not expecting a windfall because of an IT title that was bound to come down to earth at some point.
If you'd like me to say "I feel your pain" I can't. Get reeducated, or use your management skills in another field. Whatever you do, stop your damned whining and blaming Bush for all your ills. You start to sound like a bunch of selfish democrats after awhile!
Your the best advertisement for John F'in Kerry that ever walked, and your gonna make him the next president of the US if you don't start taking responsibility for your own damned choices in life.
Sorry for the tirade, but some of you damned well need it!

Which explains a lot about why you have a difference of opinion with them. Way to go sailor.

Waking up every morning begins the fight for survival. Look if you have to "fight to survive" in the United States you are hopeless.

I don't suffer from a lack of sympathy for your friend. What I do suffer from is the knee jerk blaming of a policy we should all accept. Americans are the best, most ingenious, and most driven people in the world. If you tell me that we cannot compete with other nations, I say bunk! If you tell me that other nation are unfair in trade, I'll agree that improvements need to be made.
But if you tell me that at 5.6% unemployment, your friend's lack of a job is a result of Bush's policies, I will say your out of line. If you help get Kerry elected, this Freeper will be left with the impression that this whole damned board is for whiners who blame thier ills on GWB, and I may as well be on the DU.

BRAVO!
The crybabies of FR, some of who claim that they can't get a job, can't get one, because they 1)refuse to move 2)think that they should be handed one 3)don't know how to do a job search 3) think that they should be paid more than they're worth 4) aren't hirable to begin with 5) enjoy moaning and groaning.
