Looks like we're going to have a free for all in Colorado. We have some good people who will probably run but it won't be as easy as it would have been with Owens.

It will be Trancredo vs. Udall and Tancredo will win.

Good. Owens is in better shape for an '08 Presidential run as a governor than a senator. Tancredo or McInnis. I hope ReGrete runs, she is a huge looser state wide.

From what I hear, that's not good news.

1. If Republicans lose this seat, Owens' already tenuous presidential hopes are severely diminished
2. Looks like McInnis and Udall will run
3. If Tancredo runs, he will no longer hold elective office by 2005.

GOP Congressman Scott McInnis I saw this guy on CSPAN a lot. I thought HE was Tancredo when I had heard of but not seen Tancredo.

DOH!!!
Owens would have made sure this wasn't a contest. I think it would have been a good move politically as well. I wonder why he isn't doing it?

I hope McInnis announces soon and that some of the other prospective candidates stay out. Only McInnis can win by landslide margins in the Western Slope and make it impossible for the RATs to steal the Senate seat.
We need Beauprez to run for reelection to the House. Tancredo does some good work in the House, but is too abrasive and would not run well outside his district. Schafer would make a good Senator, but he would not be as strong a candidate as McInnis.
If I'm not mistaken, there are currently no Republican Senators who sport a mustache. Hopefully McInnis and Herman Cain of Georgia will change that come January of 2005.

This is bad news. I suppose that Congressman Scott McInnis would be the best candidate to run. He has a base in the marginal Western Slope and $1.3 million cash-on-hand, and a record that's solidly conservative but not vulnerable to charges of extremeism. I hope he announces soon. And I hope the 'Rats nominate femi-nazi Congresswoman Diana DeGette, aka Pat Schroeder, Jr.

Admittedly, I didn't read the article (as per usual) but this seems like a no brainer. Why would Terrell Owens take time out from his busy negotiations and conditioning regimen to run for Senate?
Methinks I smell a plot by Shanny to lure T.O. to the state to replace Easy Ed McCaffery.

Tancredo is a good man, but Beauprez would be the best possible choice, IMO.

Democratic Congressman Mark Udall is reconsidering an earlier decision not to run. I wonder if he's related to the Udall family from NM. My Congressman is Tom Udall and he's a BIG RAT with an "F" from Gun Owners of America. Needless to say, I don't like him.

Owens was on television some time back supporting Bush's immigration scheme. I don't have a lot of faith in that guy.
