200 miles of the nastiest woods riding you've seen. They do a big circle from the Ft. Davidson area to Viburnum and back. Most of the guys sleep on the High school Gym floor in Viburnum, but hubby is spoiled -- we have a place about 20 miles from there, so I pick him up and drop him off and he gets to soak in a tub and sleep in a real bed! You should see him "walking" -- it's like a mummy walk. I always tease the guys about it when I pick him up -- they are hilarious. And there are some pretty old guys that ride it, too -- as in, 60+. It's a hoot!

Sounds like fun. When I got out of the service I got into Trials. But not a lot of Trials meets in Alabama.

Oh you should go.. do you live far from Indianapolis? I live in PA right now, and I make the trip, usually with two rug rats in tow... Next year I will live even further away...I told my hubby that no matter where he makes me move I am going to the race.
He agreed as long as I don't complain about the packing and unpacking....Heeheehee.. Bribes work most well in my house!

North Carolina....We are moving sometime in the summer. I have never been there before. I hear it is nice. I Hope so! I am going for a visit to meet our Realtor ( who is a part time freeper BTW) in a few weeks.
By myself... Star... Can you believe that?!? I am making two trips in the next four months by myself. I haven't done that for 7 years! Oh my gosh.. What will I do?

I had a Bultaco and I was never as good at trials as I was motocross. But no human missiles were seeking me.

I was sure your picture was of the Hole in the Rock at Papago Park. The National Guard Armory in Phoenix is just north of the Phoenix Zoo and just west of Papago Park, as shown in the picture below.
It's been too long since I've been to Papago Park in Phoenix, and I've never been to Window Rock, so it was fairly easy to be wrong!
Hey, alaska-sgt, this is a great weekend activity to take advantage of before it gets too hot. The zoo is cool (and kewl!), and the park is great for picnics. Click the picture for info on the zoo.

Wife and I sold the Kawasaki Eliminator to get me into a four-wheel-and-a-windshield vehicle (I didn't have anything except bikes), and then sold the Honda SilverWing (that we got married on) to get a "family" car (Altima) with the birth of the boy. So now, we have nothing (except those four-wheel things), but last fall, wife looks in the garage and says, "You know, we have enough room for both cars and a bike." Yes, we do! Both of us miss riding, and we've already agreed that we'll wait until one of the cars are paid off, and we'll use that money to get a decent bike (I'm thinking of either a Kawasaki Concours or a BMW tourer, she's thinking of a H-D V-Rod).
Maybe we will go with you guys to Alaska.
