Note to Admin Moderator -- I don't abuse the Breaking News column. I think that Hannity being on this story qualifies it as breaking news, and it deserves to be included there.

I heard on Tony Snow this morning that a new poll shows that Americans rank National Security the #1 issue. If this is true (and I heard this correctly), then this is backfiring hard on the Dems. The whole country is talking about 9-11. Democrats, are you sure this is what you want? Really?
This election is shaping up as 2002 all over again.

*bump* Roger Hedgecock hit it hard while filling in for Limbaugh, as well. The links are there.
A big part of the story though, is that the media didn't report the connection in the first place. Therefore, I predict they will not cover this. One thing the media does NOT do is mea culpa.

Good news. A WASHINGTON POST reporter with whom I just spoke wants to know about Kerry using the Vietnam Memorial as a backdrop for a 1984 campaign commercial. He says he is interested in that story. Please help me with the links for that. He is waiting for my email.

"We are going to find that the RATS contacted family members who are anti-war, anti-Bush and who lost relatives on 9-11. We will find they were given the phone numbers of newsrooms. We will find they were given talking points."
That's all well and good, but how about the direct linkage to Teresa Kerry/John Kerry via Peaceful Tomorrows/The Tides Foundation??? The other is small beans compared to this aspect.

We are going to find that the RATS contacted family members who are anti-war, anti-Bush and who lost relatives on 9-11. NOOOOOOOOO!! Tell me it isn't so!! Why, why,... I am shocked and amazed. Actually I'm shocked, amazed and disappointed. No, no I'm shocked, amazed, dismayed and deeply saddened.

I am glad Hannity, and people like you, are on this. The whole story is just nauseating. Who is trampling on the bodies of the dead for political gain? The answer is obvious.
I was near, but not in, NYC the day of the attacks. I saw the huge cloud of smoke that was the WTC. I saw the damaged Pentagon that month too. I have the utmost sympathy for the families. But it is absolutely ghoulish for these leftists to use one's own dead relatives to shill for a politician.
Rush and Sean have done a great job of comparing the comments of the various 9/11 widows, etc. The similarity of their phrases (and the same illogic of them) shows that this is almost certainly a Democratic or leftist plant. And can ANYONE explain to me why Bush's being "in a classroom reading to children" when the attack occurred is such a damnable act? Are these the same people who said "Bush knew" and "Bush should have connected the dots?" And when he did - in Iraq - and took care of a tyrant who was destabilizing the region (a pretty big dot, if you ask me), didn't these same people object and protest Bush's "warmongering?" What would the left have done if he had attacked Afghanistan on 9/10/01 and found . . . boxcutters and airplane schedules? They would have freaked out!
My problem is that I look for logic where there is none, other than hatred of Bush, in their positions.
But this episode was particularly disgusting and pathetic.

Glenn Beck covered it this morning too. He read and linked the Newsmax story. He has 5 million listeners. Also, Dom G here in Philly thanked me in an email for more 'great' info. I hope he will cover it more this afternoon after Hannity's show.

Fox News was complicit in the media's not telling the real story.
I was livid at FNC. I made three very angry calls Saturday to Fox (one call to news tips, one call to story corrections and one call to viewer comments). I'm sure I was not alone. I saw some of Fox & Friends this morning. They interviewed a pro-Bush family member and were reporting on the pro-Bush letter written by family members. Something tells me that FNC heard alot of complaints this weekend.

Thank you!!! We are losing this battle with the American people. CNN just reported that in a new CNN/Gallup poll, Kerry beats Bush 52 to 44%, and that the majority of the American people think that Bush's use of 9/11 images in campaign ads is inappropriate.
