I'm a fighter, I'll fight for you. No matter how much they question my patriotism, I'll fight for you, like a fighter's fighter. You know, I like you F'n people, you got rhythm. It's the rhythm of a fighter.

Seems like the only time we get to see dem politicians in church is during political campaigns.

Kerry should be in church. But for some reason, I don't think it did any good. Maybe because he was there for the wrong reason?

Kerry: "Hey Bro, you splash that holy water on me again and I'll pop you upside yo head with someone elses purple heart!!! Damn that $hit burns!!"
To: rdb3
Yes, you are right to call me on my description of our church.
It's about 97% white. Blacks are welcomed and we have a smattering of black worshipers and members. Call it a stereotypical "white" church.
Our pastor is deathly afraid of any form of political campaigning/discussions/endorsements because we could lose our IRS status if we cross The Line.
So why (for the sake of argument) do "predominately" black churches (who are heavily democrat) get to host every democrat candidate who cares to stop by and pander for votes?
You don't think Kerry was preaching brotherhood, Jesus' saving grace, and evangelism do you?

And I personally can't stand this. Same rules apply. The IRS should take their tax-exempt status for allowing candidates to campaign on their church premises.

Q. What types of activities are prohibited under the IRS Code?
A. Church endorsements of candidates and statements of opposition to candidates are strictly forbidden and can result in revocation of a church's tax-exempt status. (However, clergy may endorse candidates as individuals in forums outside the church or work on behalf of candidates during their personal time.)
In addition, churches may not contribute money to candidates, solicit contributions on their behalf or donate to candidates' political action committees. Churches may not set up their own PACs.
SOMEONE CALL THE IRS...WE HAVE A DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE TAX CODE.

And I personally can't stand this. Then you and I are in total agreement.... Brother!

Does anyone know if John Kerry belongs to any private clubs? Would be interesting to know which ones and what their ethnic composition is...
To: Humidston
Indeed we are.

SOMEONE CALL THE IRS...WE HAVE A DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE TAX CODE.Correct. I'm just waiting to be in a church one Sunday and a candidate appears. I will raise a stink openly about it.
