Mark, I don't know exactly what it is you are wishing for, but if we have mayors flouting the express will of the people as determined by their legally created laws without even the activist court giving them sanction, then I would say you HAVE your gay apocolypse.

I think you would be taking a very different stance if the mayor of SF were imprisoning homosexuals for sodomy instead of marrying them, and offering as his rationale, "It is a violation of our state constitution to let them have sex with each other."
