That's what I vote for. As I said in my November 19, 2000 thread SF Pro-Gore Rally Organizer: Polygamous Bisexual Sado-Masochist Pagan Activist regarding the rare, well-attended pro-Bush march in San Francisco demanding an end to the Florida recounts:

Nowadays, it doesn't take much to get folks on the left to take to the streets, especially in San Francisco (where I live). At just about any time, there can be a protest or march or sit-in for matters as diverse as "racial profiling," welfare reform, labor union issues, gentrification, Mumia Abu-Jamal, lack of school funding, violence against prostitutes, medical marijuana, and any of a variety of gay causes.

On the other hand, to get conservatives motivated to march among total (and possibly hostile) strangers, it takes a little more than just disagreement. The situation needs to be a little more special - like high crimes and/or misdemeanors by the President of the United States, or the possible theft of a Presidential election.

Of course, that doesn't stop the brain damaged from floating their own theories of why we aren't obsessively organized. Remember years ago when Rosie O'Donnell (Still passing for heterosexual at that time) said she worried briefly about offending Republicans in her audience, but then reasoned, "What Republicans are watching daytime television? They're too busy trying to make more money than anybody else.'"

Timely questions Cat that I have been asking for the last couple weeks.
Trident, I disagree with you. Yes, I know the working families are busy. But what about OUR conservative deep pockets? Don't WE have any wealthy conservatives? Aren't WE the ones who say that capitalism works and lifts people up fiancially? So WHERE are our conservative billionaires? MIA.

Hollywood & rich liberals & liberal foundations fund leftist action organizations. They are able to hire full time directors and staff and move FORWARD. Where are OUR funded organizations? Yes, I know that conservatives are buys working. But smart ones would understand that he/she was busy but needed activists and would help out with funding. That is NOT welfare.

Even on FR many do not even cough up a dollar a year. It's pathetic and I am tired of us hiding behind the "we are busy working" excuse. Conservative dollars are obviously NOT being funneled into action organizations. That needs to change. IMHO.

PS Defending Liberty, you say that conservatives don't fund political action groups because we don't fund propagnada. Exposing lies does NOT constitute propaganda. Why would you assume that we would be the same as the leftists? IMHO This kind of thinking is part of the problem getting support from "conservatives." Really, we conservatives need to put our thinking caps back on and get with the program.
