I'll grant you that the Senate Republicans are generally wimps, but my comments on this thread consistently were about the two parties, both of which play political hardball.

Here is a bio of the former staffer who "mistakenly" sent the antiterrorism judges' memo to the RATS:

Maybe he is. I don't know him. I know that people make mistakes with computers, but why would any Republican in his right mind send a Republican memo to a RAT staffer????

Here's more info re: Delrahim and Hatch's anti-terrorism efforts. It illustrates frustration among judiciary Republicans and Hatch's leadership re: terrorism.

The article from Fox that I posted above reminds me of Grassley's involvement with the whistleblower at the FBI translaors' office. Grassley is helping her. What is Hatch doing? (I have no clue. just piecing things together.)

after decades of watching hatch, I am evermore convinced:
he IS a girlie-man.

There can be no other conclusion.
Buy the person some balls, he apparently has none of his own.

Orrin Hatch makes me almost as sick as Pat Leahy does....Senator Hatch is either the weakest excuse for a man ever made, or he is compromised in some way. Either way, he is a disgrace.

I've been thinking "compromised in some way" for a long time now.

Al Kamen...just about the lowest of the low.

I remember the game he played with Darlie as the 2002 CPAC.

He doesn't reveal himself to be a member of the media but he then misquotes her in his column!

He also registered here on FR but I don't recall his FR name.

"Leahy and his staff leaked a confidental Senate memo to Al Kamen of the WP......does this shock anyone.......Leahy still leaking government documents."

No shock at all, and all this "leaking" business and spying on each other gives a better understanding of Rocky's memo and the road map set forth to gain intel.

These lying liberals are in "FEAR" of what INTEL President Bush has. Everytime they start accusing, you know they are trying to hide something.

Several Republican aides have said she has close relationships with key Democratic aides, citing alleged friendships with Mark Childress, a top aide to Daschle, and another unnamed top aide to Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.).

Knight worked closely with Daschle’s and Kennedy’s staffs in her prior assignment as Hatch’s top aide on health-related issues.

Ummmm Hatch needs to do a bit of house cleaning of his own

No one has fought harder on Capitol Hill to get President Bush’s excellent judicial nominees confirmed than Chairman Hatch with his Chief Counsel Bruce Artim and the experienced and capable Judiciary Committee team.

Did this person say this with a straight face?
Mr. Miranda has done more to fight the good fight
the last few months than Hatch has in his entire senate career.
Hatch worked harder to get Clinton nominees through than Bush's.

Brit Hume just had a blurb on a democrat computer guy "Winkler", who says it was the democrats own fault - and the memos were left open to anyone, and the dems had known for months that it was unprotected.

My theory .. the dems were taking advantage of that open line to steal repub memos and were snooping on the repubs all the time.

I wanted to smack Leahy standing there at the mic claiming the memos were "stolen".
