The Democrat party has fallen and they can’t get up! 3/3/04 by Chris Pritchard

In the year 2000 their goal was to Win the White House and take back Congress and defeat the House Impeachment managers, sort of a get even strategy. In 2002 their goal was to take back Congress and defeat Jeb Bush and Katharine Harris in Florida, sort of a get even strategy. In 2004 their goal is to take back the White house, the Congress and defeat Katherine Harris in Florida, sort of a get even strategy.

Growing up in the 60’s I had no party preference and the two parties carried the mantel of Statesmen well in my eyes, as an example Senator Daniel Patrick Moynahan of New York did time on both sides of the isle and could have been a Statesmen in any era of our history. If you allow for the fact that not every elected official will rise to that level, in History the Statesman have always outnumbered the scoundrels.

The beginning of this fall can be traced back to the Reagan years when the Democrats would have the yearly budget show up in an ambulance and claim it was DOA “Dead on Arrival”, it was cute and showy and low class. Once you start down this road, the only way to top the last stunt it to get lower and lower. An example of this phenomenon can be seen nightly on television. The high comedy of the “Dick Van Dyke” show has evolved into “Married with Children”. During the Clinton years the party was turned on its head with seemingly rational and educated people putting forth the notion that Sex wasn’t Sex.

Those of us that have been surfing the web for some time know that, you can start one place and end up somewhere that you didn’t even know existed. In my daily check of the Internet I go to several Democrat websites, to me they appear as fringe but are really the new 21st century Democrats mainstream. The deeper you go into these sites you find the following theories, Bush Let 9/11 happen, Bush lied about Iraq and Bush is holding Osama (he will announce his capture as an October Surprise).

Debating with 21st century Democrats is akin to a Chinese Fire Drill. They throw up a charge like The President was AWOL or The President allowed the Saudis to fly out of the country on Sept 11 while all other planes were grounded. After you refute these charges with facts they say well “He wasn’t a hero like Kerry” and he lied. These so-called lies are usually straw-dog out of context quotes or disagreement with conservative policy. The debate of ideas has fallen off the radar screen, it’s now name calling and innuendo.

Of course I disagree with many of the Democrats positions on issues from foreign policy to gun control. The 21st century Democrats have lost site of the Freedom and Liberty that this country was founded on and has preserved throughout the years with American blood. While we say “Never Forget 9/11”, they say “Never Forget Florida 2000”. The Democrats have fallen and won’t be able to get up until they get over it.

Great last line. Says a lot.

"they say “Never Forget Florida 2000”.

No matter how many goodies Bush distributes, no matter how many outreaches Bush showcases, no matter how many times Bush speaks about "compassion" in Spanish, the left and many moderates do NOT care. Ironically enough Bush's success in the WOT has removed its concern from many people's minds. The economy takes center stage; a subject much easier to demonize on.

And compared to Quasimodo, John Kerry is handsome! (Well, almost.)

I submit the Democrat Party has flatlined and they have outlawed CPR.

The democrat party stands for nothing other than "hate bush". They have nothing to offer.

Morality? Justice? Fairness? Those were trampled by the Democrat Party as they exhuberantly ran to become the party of the clintons. The got what they asked for.

After the 1 inch chin bob, after someone combed and styled his wig, after the careful voice coaching to emulate a previous John F K, he remains repulsive.

I was struck, last night, to note that compared to John Effing Kerry-Heinz57, even the Olds Rocket 88 Submarine Commander Edward Milhous Kennedy looked (Heaven help me!) almost pretty.

No, you had it right. Even in the end, he denounced the D party that had been created under Clinton. Dispicable was the word he used.

Sam Nunn was of a similar stature.

The Democrat sleazeballs are aware of crowd [ the voting public] psychology.
The issue of illicit sex [out of marriage] had been used in previous presidential elections to tarnish the candidates honor with little voter impact.
But the demo public relations machine successfully sold the idea that sex was not sex and thus thwarted the stigma of Clinton's impeachment.

Attempts to dishonor Bush's character in the last election with dui's; charges of AWOL,- lying about wmd's and the war in Iraq in the current election are seeds of doubt planted in the public's mind intended to cast doubt on the honor and integrity of the man .

Driving off a bridge destroyed Kennedy's opportunity to continue that family name and purported honor to the White House doorstep.

John Kerry's dishonor is illustrated when he discarded someone elses' medals over the White House Fence...

"John Kerry's dishonor is illustrated when he discarded someone elses' medals over the White House Fence..."

Sheesh, that's the least of his dishonor. You could make a 50 page list of Kerry's dishonors, and unlike the Dem sheet on Bush, the Kerry list would be -factual-.

I feel sooo much better. Edwards is out, and he was the Dem's only hope. Far as I'm concerned, and barring some unforeseen catastrophe, Bush just won in November.

I'm anti death penalty almost. I'm pro gay marriage sort of. I'm pro raising taxes.

I will be flaberghasted if MR. Kerry or anyone else gets elected supporting these positions

As extreme policies begin to tweak different associates of the democrat party they tend to look around a bit and growing numbers are finding some balance within the conservative agenda...

I see it too, and it had to happen some time as the Democratic party, with it's divide and conquer modus operandi, faces many, many more train wrecks such as you describe.

Consider simply the selling out of the humanitarian value intrinsic in the deposing of Saddam Hussein. Many liberals are having trouble with the party ditching this very basic underpinning of liberalism in the name of power.

Don Fowler was just on Fox News spouting the "We aren't gonna let Bush steal Florida again in 2004" mantra,(to which Don Gilmore, per usual, turned the other cheek). This tells me three things......1.)Kerry has thrown in his lot with the Clintons, thus relinquishing control of the party, and 2.)President Bush needs to hammer the point that the dems systematically planned and succeeded in throwing out thousands of military votes during the 2000 election fiasco, and 3.) The new tone thing ain't working. Kerry is on the tv every day talking about the vicious republican smear machine, which would be funny if it wasn't such a cynical, bold-faced lie.
