I think Hillary is fairly familiar with that procedure ;-) Thanks for the clarification. Your right. I was alluding to the time we will know we have a president-elect.

That'll leave some wriggle room for those that will like to speculate about her being the Running Mate on the Kerry ticket. (I'll be among those ;-).So will I.
To: kattracks
...so that she can run in 2008 or be vp in 2004.

I get the impression that the Klintoons have been more or less in Kerry's camp all along. Even the exposure of the affair with the intern now in Africa was more helpful to Kerry (getting that news out early) than harmful.
Perhaps the Klintoons feel more comfortable having someone who "understands" that politics is more about telling people what they want to hear, and spewing a constant stream of sound bytes that smear the opposition, than it is about anything involving integrity, leadership or other such old fashioned crap. </sarcasm>
Dean certainly threatened the Klintoon's control of the party more than the other candidates, and threatened to gain independent sources of money, from his working the web.
I reckon Hitlary is more concerned with controlling the big money than she is with ensuring that no other 'Rat wins this time around. She should be pretty confident that no other 'Rat is going to win in '04 if she decides they shouldn't.

Bold move, endorsing a candidate the day he wraps up the nomination. That's leadership.

Just how much do you think an endorsement from Her Heinousness is worth to Kerry? It could be the kiss of death like Algore's endorsement was for Howard Dean.

The Klintoons real endorsement of J Fonda Kerry came three weeks ago, when they figured he had it won, and went relatively silent.
Of course, it's not necessarily the Office of the Presidency for which they are endorsing him.
To: goldstategop
He's of no use to HER unless she decides it's time for a VP bid...make no mistake, it's HER decision. Condi will kick her ass.

Missus clinton's endorsement is (preemptive) cover for the dirt on Kerry that will be issuing forth at times of maximum impact from the clinton "infrastructure."
to fish hawk: Positional predilection of both suggest the converse, i.e., pork on ketchup.

To clarify, Big Time Big Dick would too. If he's still in, she is out. He would kill her with kindness and derision.

" . . . and I will do everything I can to get him elected. So I hope that next year we will have a Democrat in the White House," She knew the day would come when she had to say something. The cheering crowd would stop for a moment, make a collective turn and look in her direction and say, "Well, Hillary?"
This was like everything else she does - contrived!
She wants John Kerry in the White House about as much as she wants Jim Robinson in the White House.
To: Mia T
Ooops. Make that "suggests."

Clinton & Clinton (Hillary and Bill are out to cripple Howard Dean) This just may be their plan for Kerry too.
