DICK MORRIS -- "DemocRATS slit their throat tonight"
Al Rantel show | 3-2-04 | dfu

Posted on 03/02/2004 6:31:56 PM PST by doug from upland

Al Rantel and Larry Elder are on KABC with Dick Morris. Dick said that the DemocRATS slit their throats tonight. Kerry was not vetted. He will be seen as a Dukakis liberal.

Bush will spend 150 million dollars in ads up to convention time.

It is too late. Kerry will have the delegates and cannot be un-nominated.

Kerry looked like a reasonable candidate after Howard Dean. When his record is exposed, he will be in deep trouble. Bush must not be nice --- he must use negative ads, go after him, and define him.

Possible for Hillary to take VP spot but Dick thinks Kerry may be in so much trouble by convention time that she will run away screaming.

How can he "crash and burn" when he is virtually unopposed for the nomination.

Poll says 'intern' forthcoming disclosure..

I wear the tinfoil hat proudly.

I am not saying these things lightly. This election is not set, by a long shot. The Dems are playing for keeps. And the Pubbies are just playing.

Hillary Clinton is the biggest threat to this nation and its future as a republic. And she is not out of the ring yet.

On February 12, 1999, my country changed forever. It remains to be seen if it will recover. The 2000 election was almost stolen by lawless Dems. Sept. 11, 2001 was caused by Dems who couldn't be bothered with protecting this country.

And the 2004 election will be close. Since early 2001, I have been warning the Repub. National Committee that they better get serious about massive voter fraud by the Dems in the 2004 election, and to expose what happened across the country in Dem strongholds in 2000 with voter fraud.

They have their head in the sand.If they are not careful, they will have their head handed to them in November.

Me--mine is covered with tinfoil.

"Dickie hasn't been right about a single thing, since he was outed as the TOE SUCKER!"

Yea, when the toe sucker comes on, I tune out.
He is too full of himself.

"the 50-50 notion is baloney"

Right. They seem to forget about those who voted for Gore and then [with sept 11, 2001] came to realize how lucky we were that Bush won Florida. It shows how unsavvy those pundits really are politically. They cannot see outside their own box and therefore glibly assume that Bush's leadership for 4 years and his high polls through much of it--wont factor in when people have to vote in November between a freshly examined Kerry who is probably hitting his peak now, and the man that we have all known for the past 4 years. Wish fulfillment as political muse is not a good bet.

Makes no difference whatsoever. Kerry can be Osama Bin Laden himself and the democRATs of this country will still vote for him.

I meant Kerry wins the nomination, but terrible poll numbers and scandals cause him to pull out of the race. Democrats then must convene a second time. Or something like that.

You're forgetting the upper Midwest which used to be solidly Democratic and is now trending Republican. The old-time Democrats who always vote Democratic even though they disagree with 85% of what the Democrat Party now stands for simply because Franklin Roosevelt was a Democrat are rapidly dying off. Their children laugh at them and vote Republican. 10 years ago Mondale would have won that election in MN. Not anymore. The most reliably Democratic constituency in the US is rapidly leaving us. Millions of voters who simply aren't here anymore. There aren't enough immigrants to replace them. This country is turning Republican and will remain so for a long time.

From Famous Texans.com...

Rove began working for Bill Clements in 1978. Four years later, he was working for Phil Gramm, who was in the U.S. House of Representatives as an old-style conservative Texas Democrat. In 1984, Rove helped Gramm, now a Republican, defeat Democrat Lloyd Doggett in the race for U.S. Senate. It was that same year, 1984, that Rove handled direct-mail for the Reagan-Bush campaign. In 1986, he helped Clements become governor a second time. In 1988, Rove helped Tom Phillips to victory, the first Republican elected to the Texas Supreme Court. Ten years later Republicans held all nine seats. Mark McKinnon, a former Democratic consultant who defected to the Bush campaign, called Rove the "Bobby Fischer of politics. He not only sees the board, he sees about 20 moves ahead."

Rove has been closely advising George W. Bush since he announced he was a candidate for Governor in November 1993. By January 1994, Bush had spent $613,930 on the race against incumbent Ann Richards. Over half of that, $340,579, went to Rove. In a state long dominated by Democrats, albeit right-wing ones, every statewide elected office was, by 1999, held by a Republican. Many of those politicians succeeded with the help of Rove. During the November election, the half-dozen candidates he advised were all winners.

Yeah, I guess this Rove guy is some kind of idiot.

Sheesh!

Hillary will never be elected President, though. Unless her opponent in 2008 is Chafee or Specter, there's not a conservative who would stay home or vote third party.

DM also said...Powell is the ONLY Rep who could beat her in 08"

I enjoy listening to little Dick. He has accurately predicted nothing. His tactics, other than triangulation, are shopworn. His public advice, therefore is without credibility. Which leads me to ponder, who is paying him (beside FOX), and why?

I suspect his private information to clients is less errant, thus making him employable.
