So, when an elected official studiously violates the law, what is the recourse? Lawyers, what say ye?

Ya know, we need a mayor in California to start issuing 'Assault Weapons' licenses and hand gun licenses to any and all applicants save felons.
I wonder how long that would go on before Lockyear sent in the Gestapo.

Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street; for all the people to see that..
Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles well sing a victory tune
Well all meet back at the local saloon
Well raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

That is exactly the response that is required.

Homosexual Agenda Ping - good op-ed for your edification.(Let me know if anyone wants on or off this ping list)
And if anyone hasn't read it yet, order "The Pink Swastika" (by Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams) for a read that'll curl you hair (or straighten it, as the case may be) and keep you up all night until you finish it.
You can order it here:
http://www.abidingtruth.com/index.php?viewmode=resources "The Pink Swastika: 4th Edition
The Pink Swastika is a thoroughly researched, eminently readable, demolition of the "gay" myth, symbolized by the pink triangle, that the Nazis were anti-homosexual."

but the right of the citizens to decide for themselvesPolitics don't expedite in real-time. Be patient friends. Who of any sanity would have thought a couple of years ago, in the future CA voters would recall an incumbent democrat governor and 'install' a republican?

In some small town & rural areas of California, the local sheriffs (who have discretionary power over CCWs), do exactly that -- they issue a permit to any honest citizen who asks, just as if they were in a "shall-issue" state.
Alas, here in Lost Angeles county, it ain't so.

Once sex acts are divorced from moral absolutes, and sex pleasure is considered more important than fidelity, loyalty, and lifelong commitment, it's only a matter of time before we get what we have now. And this is not the bottom of the abyss.

"The crux of the San Francisco gay marriage issue is not homosexuality per se, but the right of the citizens to decide for themselves the very nature and character of the society in which they live. There is no human right more fundamental than this."
A very good point indeed.
I fear that this crisis might soon escalate into the most important fight for Democracy in over a century.
The counter-democratic radical left will stop at nothing to replace liberty with sodomy and in so doing pervert the family and the government.
The will of the people and the legacy of democracy must be defended.
