MEL'S MOVIE ALSO AROUSES POLITICAL 'PASSION'

February 29, 2004 -- Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" has become such a huge phenomenon so fast that campaign analysts are starting to ponder political fallout on the 2004 election - and some Democrats have got the jitters. "Whenever religion becomes a central topic of discussion, Democrats don't do so well, and now it's really out there," said a Democratic activist, who thinks the film links into concern on gay marriage and even Janet Jackson's breast flash.

If Kerry can't even make up his mind on whether he's going to see this film, then how in the world is he going to make tough decisions in the White House?!

This is Kerry in a nutshell!

By contrast, when Democratic front-runner John Kerry was asked if he wanted to see it, he replied cautiously, "I don't know" and added that he's "concerned" the film's portrayal of Jews could fuel anti-Semitism.

Think about it, this guy wants to be Commander and Chief, with his finger on the nuclear button, and he can't even decide whether or not to see a movie!!! It boggles the mind.

He is concerned that others are concerned and their concerns concern him.

I am concerned that he might possibly get anywhere near the Oval Office, much less be CIC of our armed forces.

Kerry is Catholic

Kerry attends a Catholic Church periodically. He is most definitely NOT a fellow Catholic, if his pronouncements on the subject mean anything.

Attacks on the Passion film have important ramifications. Kerry commented that he is "unsure" about "The Passion" (Reuters, "Democrat Kerry Urges Caution on 'Passion,' 26 February 2004, by Patricia Wilson). "I don't know," Kerry said when asked if he would see the Mel Gibson film.

As a presidential candidate, Kerry's comments are loaded with meaning for the future of America. More importantly, Kerry's ill-conceived remarks are a warning to American Christians that he will strengthen secularists power over believers. Kerry, Dimocrats and Hollywood are in league against believers and stand for everything Christians abhor: They worship abortion, the homosexual agenda, and the stripping away of every Christian symbol in America.

Who's kidding who? By bashing The Passion, Kerry is pandering to Hollywood secularists for campaign dollars. In return, Kerry assures Hollywood that a Kerry presidency will strengthen Hollywood's chokehold on American Christian culture.

Secularists have vastly profited from their anti-Christian activities. They've labored long and hard to strip away every symbol of Christianity from American culture. Hollywood has produced an avalanche of films, TV and music that demean Christians and trivialize Christian beliefs.

Candidates igonore Christians concerns at their peril. Kerry's comments and his positions on social issues must reach every Christian pastor, church, and group in America. These are the things Christian voters should talk about:

(1) Kerry's comments about The Passion movie have effectively disqualified him from holding the highest office in Christian America.

(2) Transparently anti-Christian candidates do not deserve Christian votes.

(3) Candidates carrying Bibles and going to church (the Clintons) but who vote against everything Christians believe in are not going to fool Christians again as they have in the past.

(4) Protecting the unborn, the sacredness of marriage, and Christian symbols in American life are very important issues Christians want addressed.

(5) A culture devoid of Christian values is a dangerous wasteland of school killings, disturbed one-parent kids, crime waves, schools in a cultural vacuum teaching the destructive NEA--PP'hood agenda, sexual license, teen pregnancies, abandoned babies, abortion on demand including infanticide, and the homosexual takeover.

(6) Let's be clear. The future of America depends on which candidate supports Christian issues. Kerry has demonstrated that he need not apply.

Isn't this an interesting self-description of his own character and lack of integrity? In effect, he is saying that he would be helpless to resist the antisemitic influences he imagines in shadows on a screen. Poor baby....

If it's all the same to you........we don't need anymore people to claim they're jewish.

And don't forget, (whispering) General Clark owned up to a jewish father too!

As if we don't have enough trouble, now we have these schmendricks too!

I don't believe he could being Australian by birth but it would be a hoot to have a Mel/Arnold ticket.

Actually Mel was born in upstate NY, his family moved to Australia when he was 12. I don't know about politics & Mel, I just applaud the courage he showed in making this film.

It seems like everytime some hollywood weirdo comes forward with an anti-christian statement, or a comment about how evil America is we're always told how "corageous" they are for taking a stand. Mr Sarandon (Tim Robbins) and the whole flap about Bull Durham last year comes to mind. But really, what kind of courage does it take to spout extreme leftist views in hollyweird?

Now, along comes Mel Gibson, who openly defies all the hollywood establishment, basicaly telling them to stick their criticism because he's making this movie his way, without any of their help and it becomes a huge hit. That, IMHO is real guts. He's stuck his neck out making this, and if it flopped his career would have been toast. You can imagine the Speilbergs, Baldwins etc must be fuming that this movie has been so well received.

"it was a brilliant answer". They speak as if Bush's opinion about his favorite philosopher was as contrived as a Dem's usual carefully planned, pandering answer. In this case it's obvious it's been the truth for years.

Beautiful and so right-on.

It is so odd how my two favorite posters are speaking in one voice on this beautiful movie.

Did you see this by Neuromancer last night?

'Passion' Earns $64.6 Million in Three Days

To: truthandlife; All

I am not sure that we, this country or larger realms are ready for what is to happen tomorrow. Millions of people will be leaving church to fill crowded theaters and focus on the death of Jesus.

In the afternoon and night of the 29th of February, there will arise the largest concentration of spiritual energy and open hearts ever seen in our lifetimes.

Be certain that this opening, this yielding will not be without it's ramifications.

What will change none of us can know. But tomorrow will change our world. For evil has had many victories - yet now love and goodness are poised to arise in a mighty wave.

Remember the words to that old hymn that seems so politically incorrect these days...

"There is power, power,
wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power,
wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb."
