Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., dashes past his Secret Service detail while arriving for private meetings and fundraisers in San Francisco on Friday. If Kerry, or another Democrat, wants to defeat President Bush in Novermebr, that candidate will have to carry Pennsylvania.

I don't think they get SS until after the convention, or at lease until they become the de-facto nominee, which would be now or in the next few days. Until then they have to hire private security at the campaings expense.

Dorkitude, I like that. I will have to use it

And in a photo-finish, the winner of the 2004 Tin-Man Triathlon is a long shot gilding from Boston!! Yes with a time of 2.5678654 seconds John F'in Kerry goes the distance!! But he now must face the Thoroughbred from Texas, George W. Bush. One can't help but remember Kerry's predecessors Walter "gee, I think I'll get a lezbo for my running mate" Mondale and Mike "this helmet looks good, right" Dukakis. It's gonna be a real horse race.. Just kidding folks, its gonna be a runaway! What will an out of work gold-digger like Kerry do after he suffers what will be perhaps the most embarrassing loss in political history? There's little doubt he'll have a permanent ketchup ring around his mouth.

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Senator John Kerry (news - web sites) (D-MA) is closely covered by wire service and television photographers as he makes a leaping fingertip catch of a football while on the tarmac at Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia March 2, 2004. Why do I have such such a hard time believing this? Oh, yeah:
The first picture is probably how he throws the thing...

I haven't used it myself in years. Can't recall where I first heard it, probably in some 80s Valley kid movie...

Unfortunately, we have to be careful to keep all this focused on the issues. It's too easy for the left to come back with a clever retort. A quick search on google images came up with this:
I found that in less than a minute. How difficult would it be to find many more that are similar or worse?

That photo doesn't show that in the second before, he raised the binoculars, in the next second he took the lens caps off.... Clinton never took off the lens caps as far as I've heard..but pretended all was well.

I don't doubt that there's more to the story, or that he didn't quickly realize the caps were on. And I'm sure that in a film we would see exactly what you describe. But raising them to your eyes without checking first is wasted motion, and whether or not you think it's foolish, the image remains. Just like the Kerry images here. So my point remains: let's keep this focused on issues, and not iamges.

Kerry looks like the talking tree in The Wizard of Oz! Kerry looks like a cross between Ichibod Crane and Dick Nixon.

yeah, but I am pretty sure that image is a FAKE!
I don't think W would wear a jacket with the FLAG on it in the wrong direction. If the flag is on the right shoulder, it should be worn like this:
and besides, the left floats the real and fake pics of bush all the time anyway. What WE NEED TO DO IS MAKE SURE THE PUBLIC KNOWS THAT KERRY IS A DORK! We need to DUKAKIS-IZE him!
I have been around a lot of politicians, and Kerry looks like the most wooden I have ever seen.

Obviously a product of Photoshop.

Those Urban Legend types -- snopes.com -- aren't so confident the Bush picture was faked. See
http://www.snopes.com/photos/binoculars.asp They show two shots, one with the caps off, and the flag is still against the direction you call for.
