5:00, 6:30, 7:00, 8:15, 9:25, 9:55 all sold out hours ago, and this is the Washington DC area.

I was talking the manager of the theater. This is no organized thing, just regular people buying tickets.

He said the theater feels like a church.

Bought mine for the 9:30 showing here in Lexington NC a couple of hours ago. 7:00 was already sold out. Of course, we only have one theater. ; * )

Went to see it here in Richmond at 4:30 yesterday. Every show from 6:30 Friday night all through the weekend at four local theaters was sold out.

Sounds like my kind of people. I belong to no church but that may change.

We should send thank you notes to the detractors, for giving it free publicity.

I've seen it twice this since Friday. Went by myself the first show, then went to see it with my wife this morning. Strangely enough, I was moved more deeply the second time around - was not expecting that at all.

A powerful film.

The smart-guy liberal critics figured this would die out after the initial group buys petered out.

They figured wrong.

The men of my church rented out the theater this morning and many of us brought a guest or two. The movie was a masterpiece. I can't ever remember using that word to describe anything other than a Renaissance painting before. At the end, our Pastor held an altar call and three dozen men made a decision for Christ.

I was fortunate to see it at a private screening Tuesday, but was planning to see it again tomorrow. Wonder if this is a nation-wide trend. Hope so, even if it means I'll have to wait for some time for my second viewing.

A powerful film

I saw this at the 2pm showing today and let me say this: I feel so insignicant. If even half of this movie is an accurate potrayal of history...Only Yeshua could go thru what I witnessed!!

Go see this movie people.

I saw two people right here on FR say that last night; they were like, how many churches can there be?

I tried to buy tickets at my local cinema. Very small town - had to get tickets for Monday night (my only other option was tomorrow night at 9:50). Also there was an older couple who probably haven't been to the movies for years (they asked for tickets at the concession stand). I bet that's happening a lot too.

I think it will be huge --- it's the only thing everyone at work was talking about this week. Hollywood is going to be steaming mad ---- looks like Jesus might be bigger than them --- and Mel Gibson too.

We saw it at 1:00 and all shows for the day (on two screens) were sold out. Good thing we had our tickets ahead of time. I am still kind of shaky right now. During the most intense sequence they stopped the film and turned on the lights full blast! Nobody could believe it. We thought there was a technical problem, but it turns out someone passed out and had to be taken out of the theater. It was weird to say the least. Then it just started right back up in the middle. My husband and I are still trying to process the whole thing. It was intense to say the least.
