Yes --- they do worship money --- but if they think it's the blood and gore and realism, watch Hollywood try to do some feeding-Christians-to-lions type movies.

Thanks for writing out Rush's comments, Max. I can't listen to him because of bad hearing, but liked reading what he said. Hope THEY heard it!

Because you're gutless. These are gutless people.

He forgot another adjective - SPINELESS!

You know what really frosts me is how all those Hollyweird bigwigs and actors resented being put on a blacklist for saying they hated President Bush and America and the War On Terrorism and what have you. They said there were simply exercising their right to dissent. Ah but when the shoe's on the other foot so to speak, they have no compunction about putting Mel Gibson on THEIR blacklist cause they loathe his views! What was that again about the right to dissent? See if you're a liberal no one should have the right to say NO to you and if you happen to be a conservative the all too typical reaction from these people is you ought to neither be heard nor seen. Rush is right, their hypocrisy is an outrage and its also nothing new. Its just SOP for the Left in this country.

But they cannot see the hypocrisy.

Rush was magnificent and eloquent on the leftist response and gibberish over this so-called "controversial" film yesterday.

He was awesome.

We are taking several of my college film students to The Passion tomorrow.

I can't decide if it's best to see this film with a group of friends or alone. I went with friends, but ended up sitting on a row with strangers. I think I was more impacted by not being beside people I know.

>There's no agenda. There's no call to action. There's no nothing here, folks. This is one of the most personal experiences a moviegoer will ever have, so personal it is going to be difficult for you to tell people what you felt. It's going to be difficult to tell people what you thought.

Well said.

Very accurately put! My wife and I saw it today; it was hard to talk for a long time after it ended.

I identified with the person I didn't see,who had no lines but I am sure was there. I was the one who jabbed my neighbor in the ribs and said in a panicky, hysterical but whispery voice,"Go do something, pick up His cross, help Him for heaven's sake!!".

That was me,the believing coward, trying to get someone else to do the heavy lifting.

Hey... Welcome back.

Have you seen the film yet?

I go tomorrow to see it.

I picked up the soundtrack today. Marvelous...

Good to see your name once again.

BTW... I got your package. Thank you!

Haven't read the book yet, or seen the video, but soon!

God bless, and good night!

It would be easy for the academy or foreign press to ignore The Passion for nominations for the big awards. Certainly the acting awards and the best picture award. Adapted screenplay would be harder. But would it be eligible for foreign language film?

The film will not win any awards (maybe a technical one) but we'll see how far the blacklisting goes to see if it gets nominated for one.

The original Hollywood blacklist wasn't in the 50's, it was in the 30's, as Stalinists infiltrated Hollywood and were proactive in sabotaging the careers of any anti-Communist they found.

Interesting. Do you know any books that provide details?

"It's about who they are, and they didn't have the guts to stand up -- and now they want to get back in".

These people haven't the truth in them in the first place they only profess to have it, therefore they will endure a stricter judgment. At least the unbelievers are consistent...

"New York Times quoted, unnamed Hollywood executives saying he's ruined his career; he doesn't have a chance here"

Do we really need the Hollywood leftist-elite to makes these decisions? Looks like Mel will stand fine without them.
