Florida Rep. Corrine Brown verbally attacked the Bush Administration this week, calling them "a bunch of white men" and labeling the Haiti policy "racist."
Now she's apologizing for saying "white men," but the "racist" label? No apology.
Call House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's office at 202-225-4965 and demand the resignation of Corrine Brown. Or email Pelosi at sf.nancy@mail.house.gov

If nothing else, she MUST be censured by the House leadership.
Tom Delay is the House Majority leader. Call or e-mail him.

I dunno... It just spits it back out. When I click on "preview" it shows up, but once I click on "post" it disappears....
Must be a left wing conspiracy

Looking at the source, it appears that somehow the "and quote" got in there at the end of the tag.

Well, I'm no Nancy Pelosi fan but I'd sure hate dealing with Ms. Brown all the time. Gawd, what a character she is. Shady lady dealings and such. She's the one that stomped out the the House of Reps when Dubya was announced "Prez" in 2000., and she's been in hot water for accepting naughty dollars while posing as an Honorable Representative.
Sheesh. When she endorsed Howard Dean, I had to laugh a bit.

Is this the Congressperson who said words to the effect that "all white people look alike'?
Guess that kind of racism is OK if you are in the democrat party.

I use Adobe Photoshop 5.0 (NOT the latest version, but it's the one I like) and a simple gooey program called Kai Goo (again, not the latest version.. it came with an old printer I installed a few years ago).
The real "trick" is to appraoch the artwork just like painting on canvas. The mouse is the brush LITERALLY. In the Photoshop program there are tons of tool menus: Brush size, color swatches, % of color, smearing and % of smearing, erase, a "lasso" tool you can use to surround an area to copy it and duplicate it elsewhere, a flip horizontal or vertical thingy, a rotate thingy, sharpen filter, blur filter (don't have much use for the other umpteen bahzillion filters) .... those are the main ones I use.
Now, all this is done in layers -- like how you paint. But I do have to merge the layers to build up to the final look I want. Especially for skin and any gradations for a 3-D look.
It's a veeeeery tedious process. Don't know how others do theirs, but this is how mine are done.

Why is this a surprise? It sounds as though Cynthia Mckinney had been her mentor and told her she gets a free pass with any slurs she wishes to make because she is a dem. Then again, look what happened to cynthia he he.

It's a veeeeery tedious process. Your work is significantly better than any other political cartoons I have seen. I would almost recommend that you focus exclusively on the political caricatures and static situational humor without the jokes. No punch line can match your artistic talent and, in my unqualified opinion, captions only detract from your far more hilarious artwork. Please keep up the good work.
To: AgThorn
Gooey... it has different tool things that can stretch and pull sections of artwork as you drag your mouse over it.
It's kind of like sticking your fingers in the corners of your mouth and pulling them towards your ears.
The problem with the program is it overdoes EVERYTHING. So, I use it with great discretion. You've probably seen photos where faces are stretched weirdly and lose recognition. That's what I mean.
