WOODRUFF: The race for the White House is dominated headlines in recent weeks, but there are also some very tight Senate races on the ballot this November.
Stu Rothenberg of the "Rothenberg Political Report" is with me now to talk about some of the more intriguing ones.

CNN was on at the office. Rothenberg says Pubbies may add "one or two seats". Judy begs to hear Dems can regain control.
At least they both realize none of their candidates will help with Lurch's coattails.

Rat dreams. Once the question is asked, how many Americans will have to die at their places of work before we do something, it's over for the rats.
All the bad news bull that you are hearing now, will be tired and old by November.
Lurch is not as good a candidate for the Republicans as Kucinich or Dean but he's a pretty lousy candidate.

"i am really really concerned about this election way people are talking Bush is going to get trounced and we may lose the Senate - not happy" You've been listening to the mainstream media again, haven't you?
And you're starting to see it the way they see it. The way they want you to see it.
How much attention did you pay to Baghdad Bob in the Iraq War? Because he was in the same business CNN is now in -- enemy propaganda.

HA! Pretty please, indeed. They are sure pulling hard for the home team! This was my favorite line:
"Look, everybody agrees Tom Daschle is a charismatic personality"--Stu Whatsisberg.

They seem to have solidified around Greg Clarkson. The poor guy transcribing this could have spent a minute or two checking the names for these races. There were a couple of spelling errors, but this one wasn't even close.

Hey take it easy
I am getting tired of the bad press but i have been crunching the numbers and looked at some vunerable states like Ohio, Az and Nv and things do not seem promising
also i am a Mass refugee who cannot stand Kerry - he is the ultimate sleaze so i get a little jittery when i see any positive movement in his direction
i guess you could call it overly concerned due to bad experiences

It's scary but true. You get pounded and pounded with it and it just breaks you down. Avoid exposure.

It's amazing to me how many 24/7 all-News channels do this:
They invite a guest for a discussion, get 1-2 minutes into a conversation with them and say something like this----"Very quickly Stu..."
24/7 is a lot of time to fill, yet CNN (as quoted from the transcript above), and FOX both do this.
"Quickly......" Where are they rushing off to? another Michael Jackson story?

"They're defending more seats. There are more Democratic open seats. So the Republicans really have an opportunity to pick up a seat or two here. "
I didn't realize we had a chance to pick up nearly 10 seats in the senate!!! (When ever CNN speaks multiply by five in favor of the Republicans to get the truth)

"Quickly......" Where are they rushing off to? another Michael Jackson story? A commercial break. Believe me, that's the real answer.
Somebody is talking in Judy's ear and telling her they've got 30 seconds to go. Unlike radio, all breaks in TV are "hard" breaks. You can't roll a commercial or promo on short notice. Especially when the show is "live" or "live to tape".

Some on here think Jack Ryan will actually hold Illinois. We may actually get through with no losses on our side at all...
We should also keep an eye on Wisconsin and Washington. Maybe Nevada too, but they can't settle on a candidate and Harry Reid has raised tons of cash.

I am hoping we add more than two or three seats.

Some on here think Jack Ryan will actually hold Illinois. I wondered why my ears were buzzing!
Martinez should hold Florida, Murkowski's holding up pretty well in Alaska, and she'll get help from Jim Sykes on the Green ticket, and Loosiana's going about as well as we could expect.

No! Not everyone! Nobody asked me and I dislike Tiny Tommy so much, I would move to So. Dakota and register just to vote for Thune.
