Why people continue to insist that CA has a whacked out liberal Supreme Court is quite beyond my comprehension. It hasn't been that way since Rose Bird was given the boot in 1986.

No it doesn't. Every adult has an equal right to marry a person of the opposite sex. They can't marry their siblings, their kids, or animals and they can't marry people of the same sex either. It is not a violation of equal protection in the least.

There is no emergency here. There will be an issue in time about the benefits received, tax returns, and the like, but there is no reason why this case shouldn't go to an appellate court first, if it has jurisdiction, to be decided on an expedited but not warp speed basis. The California supremes will strike SF down, ir need be.
