LOCK AND LOAD Express-News Is Caught With Its Pants Dropped
San Antonio Lightning ^ | Marco Gilliam

San Antonio's most comical liars do not hang out at the Bexar County Courthouse or jail.

No, that distinction belongs to the gang that can't shoot straight over at Avenue E and Third St.-- publisher W. Lawrence Walker's San Antonio Express-News. And those clowns actually are swagger-strutting proud of their transparent lying.

Two of their pet year-to-year lies have been spectacularly disproved to the point of hold-your-sides hilarity. But before enjoying a good laugh at the rickety prevarications, first give a good up-and-down look at the quiet-spoken but pompous little creeps who write them. Walker pays some of them more than $100,000 a year to lie through their teeth to you.

DUTY TO "CHANGE THE WORLD"

Somebody once told these characters that they could "write." Not spell. "Write." So off they trucked to UT-Austin, Missouri Journalism School, or Columbia University. There, bearded "politically correct" nihilists, masquerading as "professors" in faded blue jeans, finely checkered shirts, sissy boots, granny glasses and pony tails, taught them what a rotten hole the United States is, and how it is their duty to "change the world." The sub-robot students learned nothing valid about American history and government, free enterprise economics, Judeo-Christian influence on our laws, or even correct grammar.

Today these crap-heads sit at computer terminals as "writers" or "editors" and proudly propagandize on behalf of the socialist-oriented, multi-culturalist, one-world left wing. Mind you, they fancy themselves as "journalists," although they can't spell and don't know Indiana from Arizona on a map.

Express-News Pet Lie No. 1. The paper has howled for years about so-called "global warming." So how much has the average global temperature gone up during the 20th century? The National Climatic Data Center, using satellites, weather balloons and ocean buoys, has the answer: ONE DEGREE!

Duncan Maxwell Anderson, writing in Crisis magazine, uncovered the above fact and this: Scientists have found that between 800 and 1300 AD, average temperatures were two to four degrees higher than during our 20th century. Disasters? Nooooo. Wine grapes grew in England. Olives and figs grew in Germany. During that Medieval Warm Period, Greenland got its name. Whoa! And were coastal cities inundated? Well, uh, er, um--no!

"GREENHOUSE" THEORY IS SILLY

The Express-News has long claimed, with its corrupt wire services, that carbon dioxide and fossil fuel emissions in the earth's atmosphere are causing a greenhouse effect--global warming. That literally is silly. Anderson quotes astrophysicists as proving that global temperatures ROSE from 1900 to the 1940s, a time of relatively few motor vehicles. But from the 1940s to the 1970s, with a glut of fossil-fuel-burning vehicles--what happened? Global temperatures went DOWN. Left-wing scientists and "journalists" claim that this finding (or the temperature drop itself?) was the work of "dishonest right-wing radicals!"

Now what about the "greenhouse effect?" If sun heat is trapped under a "blanket of gases," and is reflected back to earth, heating it up, how come it isn't heating the air above? Huh? Well, astrophysicists have proof that the air above is not heating as fast as the tiny bit that the earth is heating. So what's the cause? It has been proven to be cyclical sunspot activity, which barely affects earth's temperatures.

Now this one will cause the jerks at Ave. E and Third to whap their heads against the wall and retch over the water closets. Peter Huber, a fellow at the Manhattan Institute in liberal New York City, says that an SUV, detested by Express-News literary strumpets, is more earth-friendly than any bicyclist. Why? Well (heh-heh) "because the extra food consumed by the cyclist on a long journey takes more area to grow than all the space consumed by the SUV, its gasoline, and its share of the road."

Whap-Whap! Retch-Retch!

WELFARE FOR SCIENTISTS

So why do "scientists" lie about global warming? Simple. It's their personal government welfare. No threat of disaster, no federal funding, writes Anderson.

Express-News Pet Lie No. 2. The paper carries on about the need for increased immigration, amnesty for illegals, and the "value" of bringing more Mexicans into our country to work. Even George W. Bush has bought into this stupidity.

First, some of us at the Lightning speak, read, write and edit Spanish better than the Marxist, multi-culturalist horned monkey gringos at the Express-News, who already are hurling phony charges of "racism" at us. We have people who can stand up with a mariachi and correctly sing every word to "Te Quiero, Dijiste," "La Malagueña Salerosa," and "Adelita," better than any vato at that paper. ¡Eso! We can do it because we worked hard to learn it. Because we love Mejico, warts and all. Because we love beautiful Spanish.

Dr. Victor Davis Hanson, an erudite professor of classics and a native California farmer, has written a book titled "Mexifornia." In this brilliant and moving work, he points out how Hispanic professors at American universities claim that it is the Hispanic's "right" to take over the "stolen" Southwestern United States and return all of it to Mexico. (The malignant "Aztlan" movement.) This postulate suggests I.Q. inferiority or befuddlement unrelated to race.

Hanson points out that Texians took the land from a venal and corrupt culture. And, as every educated Texan knows today, Mexicans stole the land from Spaniards, Spaniards stole it from Aztecs, Aztecs stole it from another tribe, and so on.

VENALITY VS. ROCKETS

When Aztecs, Spaniards and Mexicans stole the land, the result was ignorance, venality and poverty. When the Texians stole it, the result was Greater San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, petrochemicals, rockets, computers, Hollywood and the NFL. And the neo-racist chuchos at the Express-News think that if Mexico had this land today, it would have all that, too. Yeah. All that in a patron-bribery-oriented society locked in a Third World time warp. Does the bull ever win?

Hanson points out how poor Mexican immigrants risk their lives to come to this country to work 30 years until their backs and knees give out. Their children usually do not go to school but follow their fathers and mothers into the fields. Those kids resent their parents' lot when they get old, and those kids get old, too, and suffer, as well. Because they did not go toschool. Did not really learn English. Meanwhile, Hanson writes, they long for the romantic Mexico they left, forgetting why they left it. They live here as Mexicans, as if they were in Mexico. And DAMN the United States del norte.

Mexican immigrants elevate crime, welfare and health costs, while they send their gold pesos back to Mexico. They futilely dream of returning home as caballeros, to flaunt their wealth at the Mexico City aristocrats who regard them with traditional Mexican class hatred. Ask any Indian who has fled here.

Meanwhile, wages paid immigrants in cash never show up in federal withholdings or economic studies. This skews computerized models purporting to demonstrate their "positive effect" on our economy.

NEO-RACISTS ACCOMPLISH NOTHING

The United States is vastly superior to Mexico, Hanson writes, or Mexicans would stay home. One Mexican friend told Hanson, "When we turn California into Mexico, we'll move to Oregon. When we turn Oregon into Mexico, we'll move to Washington." Meanwhile, La Raza, MEChA and other neo racist groups do nothing to increase dismal Mexican high school and college graduation rates.

So there you have it. Two lies blown asunder. It's crimson-faced embarrassing. And oh so funny.

SanAntonioLightning.com computers show that Express-News staffers frequently visit the paper's web site. They're reading this now.

So, guys, how does it feel to have your sorry bare butts hanging out in public?

I sure wish the SA Lightning would go to print instead just being on-line! I would subscribe if they did. The Express is so bad that I tell their telemarketers that I would not read their liberal rag even if they paid ME. It's not even fit for bird cage lining because of the cheap ink they use, LOL!

I only take the Sunday edition so I can get the sales papers out of it. The rest goes into the trash unread.

reading that made me think of the question, "How many men have you killed, professor?"

"During that Medieval Warm Period, Greenland got its name. Whoa! And were coastal cities inundated? Well, uh, er, um--no!"

Take a look at Harlech Castle in Scotland, built in that period: the escape route to the seea clearly shows that the mean sea level must have been several feet higher than it is today.

You know, you say that and I'm thinking "Wow, San Antonio has a conservative paper compared to other cities." My last city (Lansing, MI) was so leftist I had to stop subscribing, and I'm a guy who's read newspapers everyday since grade school. At least the San Antonio paper prints Mallard Fillmore & Nacho Guarache for a little balance.

Of course, nothing compares to the Washington Times (still only a quarter!), but that goes without saying...
