Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Alan Dementer of Gladstone, Mich., addresses an audience of friends, family and co-workers, following the awarding of the Bronze Star in a ceremony held aboard Naval Hospital Corps School. Dementer, now on the staff with the training command, received the award for actions demonstrated on March 26, 2003, when Petty Officer Dementer came under fire in An Nasariyah, Iraq, while assigned to Second Battalion, 8th Marines, Task Force Tarawa, Marine Expeditionary Force. Under fire and wounded by shrapnel, Dementer proceeded over a wall to reach six wounded Marines and immediately began rendering life saving emergency medical treatment. After stabilizing the Marines, he coordinated the movement of casualties to the Battalion Aid Station. His courage under fire, directly led to the safe evacuation of 31 injured Marines. Wounded and underfire! Think he needs an upgrade on the BS w/V! Heck, Kerry would have put himself in for the Navy Cross at least.
Now lets keep this guy in, for he's seen the elephant and was not found lacking.

Truth be known, I doubt there was ever a Corpsman serving with Marines in action - that didn't deserve at LEAST the Bronze Star...
They are a unique breed of beautiful angels with healing hands and brass balls.
You gotta love em.....

Ball bravely ventured into a mined area and pulled a wounded Marine to safety.
"bravely"?
I think I'd go for "insanely bravely". And say "well done!".

Kerry would have wangled that into a handful of medals.
