I love VDH. I just don't understand why he is a Democrat. Orson Scott Card too. I never seem to disagree with anything either of them says -- yet they belong to the Leftist party. Weird.

I didn't know he was a democrat, just made an assumtion that he wasn't.
Is it really a bad thing to have people like him inside that party? I can remember a time when the word democrat didn't equate with pacifism, anti-war.

A democrat? News to me. He's an environmentalist and has been reported to live somewhat of a minimalist lifestyle...but I've never heard that he's a member of the Democratic Party.
