I won't hire him. I won't support anything he's part of."
So says a chairman of major Hollywood studio quoted today by the New York Times in its latest attack on Mel Gibson and "The Passion of the Christ."
Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen, who along with Steven Spielberg are the big cheeses at the powerful DreamWorks, and who just happen to be Democrat activists, are angry about the movie, according to the Times. And the chairmen of two other big studios say they won't work with Gibson.
"Amid the daily dealings of Hollywood, the film and the star have been fodder for unfavorable gossip. Dustin Hoffman has talked to friends about what he called Mr. Gibson's 'strangeness' during the ABC interview. The producer Mike Medavoy said Mr. Gibson's religious zealotry made him feel uncomfortable," the Times fretted.
'Antichrist' Welcome
Others, however, think Tinseltown's notorious avarice will rule in the end.
"If the movie works, I don't think it will hurt him. People here will work with the Antichrist if he'll put butts in seats," said John Lesher, an agent with Endeavor.
And the wallet-packing butts are there. The $30 million movie made up to $20 million or more on its debut Wednesday, Box Office Mojo estimated today.
The Associated Press today estimated Wednesday's take at more than $20 million, with a total so far of up to $26 million including previews Monday and Tuesday.

one just needs to get him on camera and ask this question... " As an outspoken member of the hollywood community and a defender of free artistic expression, and the comdination of blacklisting, some ugly people started a rumor that you would never work with Mel Gibson, I am sure you would like to dispell those rumors to the world at this time....." and just wait for his answer on live tv.

"So Dot - how do YOU stand on this?"
I am not seeking to evade your question, would you please be more specific.
"stand on what"?

stand on what"? :-) Oh, not you ... I was addressing my question to Dot, the little girl Animaniac who adores Mel Gibson. I shouldn't try to be silly this close to bedtime! I want to know if Dot still adores Mel, given that Spielberg is her creator...

That's ok, I did post about dots early on. It was about connecting dots i.e. liberal's demand to connect the dots.

I won't hire him. I won't support anything he's part of."They don't appear to have a reason stated as to why this is so.
Although it is obvious to all, the reason for this statement, I sure would like to see them squirm out their reasons for such an attitude.
That would make for good fodder for the public.

And Chicken Run. Mel was Rocky's voice.
I did like the ditzy hen who said, "Maybe she's on vacation" whenever another chicken was turned into pot pie.

Curious, are there any reported cases of "anti-semitic actions" supposedly caused by this film? How about swastikas in synagogues with "remember the Passion" written under or something? All that "this movie is causing anti-semitism" stuff is just garbage! Stupid liberals want it to cause "anti-semitism".
Anyone who had a grudge against Jews after leaving the theater - I guarantee you - had that grudge before they walked in.

Why Jews don't proselytize...It is very easy to research these matters on the internet, if one is really interested.
Jews do "outreach" but in general, don't "proselytize" per se. We did in ancient times, and then were not allowed to by the majority religions in the countries in which we lived. So we ceased doing so. Also, we don't condemn others for the beliefs, nor do we feel the need to convince others that ours is "the way", and damnation awaits those who aren't Jewish. Judaism works for us, and gives us what we need. On the other hand, those who do convert to Judaism are welcome and they find it very satisfying on the whole.

I think the book is on amazon.com. It's co-authored and one of the authors is freeper "andrew". The two were on Fox & Friends yesterday talking about how they'd been cancelled by the Today Show and Debra Norville. NBC doesn't want to upset the Hollywood "elite".

From Mattew 5:
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Who's a bigot?

I don't think Mel will need them. Besides he has his OWN production company. Lots of jealous hot air if you ask me.
