"That's right -- we're offering $10,000 cash to anyone who can prove George W. Bush fulfilled his Guard duty in Alabama," Wednesday's strip said. "So if you served with Mr. Bush -- even if only in the officers' club -- we want to hear from you right now!"

Why don't we all chip in here at the Free Republic and offer a prize if anyone can prove the Democrats have ever told the truth...or maybe that they ever knew what they were talking about.

"Thanks to Bush's massive tax cuts for people who don't need them, GBT is flush."If Mr. Trudeau thinks he doesn't need his tax cut, he is certainly free to write a check to the U.S. Treasury equal to the amount he believes that he doesn't need.
To: The Raven
we could do that right now, no award money would need to be given.
they never tell the truth,
they don't know hat they are talking about
and they accuse us of doing exactly what they do.
Losers!

what we dont need is some limousine liberal deciding how much of what we earn we should keep. the arrogance of these socialists is unbelievable. Welfare rats need more money, great, get to work.

Impossibilities:
1) Proof of trisecting an angle
2) Proof of squaring a circle
3) Proof of Democrats telling the truth

There have been plenty of people who have come out to say that they served with Bush. All doonesbury has to do is give them all call and give them the money. It really as simple as that.

"That's right -- we're offering $10,000 cash to anyone who can prove George W. Bush fulfilled his Guard duty in Alabama." You can make that check out to the custodian of the records repository where GW's service record is kept, for starters. Bush, unlike stonewall Kerry, authorized full disclosure of his military record.

Will he pay?
To: frankenMonkey
How about $10,000 for anyone who can produce John F'ing Kerry's medal citations in print?
To: BushisTheMan
Did he really earn his medals? 3 purple hearts in 4 months! how was he injured?
To: MAKOTHEDOG
I have all these questions. All kerry needs to do is explain himself. Ha Ha

Contest FAQ's
Q: Isn't this just a publicity stunt?
A: If by a publicity stunt, you mean an attempt to draw attention to the problem of gutter politics, trolling-for-trash, and cheap smear tactics, then sure, guilty as charged.
Q: What if I saw Bush, but I can't prove it? Can I get some of the money?
A: No, but if your story's entertaining enough, you may qualify for our consolation prize, an original Doonesbury strip personally signed by a top studio intern.
Q: The DTH&WP is a media content web site, which means you're broke. Who's paying the reward?
A: The reward is being generously underwritten by Doonesbury creator G. B. Trudeau. The money has been put in escrow and is being administered by Universal Press Syndicate.
Q: It's really in escrow?
A: No, but we're good for it. Thanks to Bush's massive tax cuts for people who don't need them, GBT is flush.
Q: Are employees of Universal Press Syndicate, Slate or Microsoft eligible for the contest?
A: Only if no one else comes forward.
Q: Is there some sort of hitch?
A: Well, yes, but it's a hitch for a good cause. The winner won't actually receive the reward for himself; instead we'll be donating $10,000 in his name to the USO. That way everyone's a winner, including GBT's tax accountant.

So let's say a whole squadron came forward with notes, pictures, memories, etc...that GW served his stint in the ANG...do you think:
1. a liberal cartoonist is going to acknowledge any of the "proof"? No, he'll clintonize it by calling it a "right wing plot" and not have to part with his money.
2. since when has a liberal demonstrated enough "honor" to pay off in situations like this...he'll just weasel out of it and let it die...all this is for is propaganda anyway...just like mr. hustler magazine was going to pay big bucks for anti-Bush material, that never materialized.
Doonesbury is a radical, liberal strip anyway...and not even very well drawn.
So, what we have is a cartoonist, joining forces with Hanoi John and the lib patrol to further trash Bush? Like they haven't already bashed him with everything they could find.
We've seen photos of Bush, several different ones, in the F-102 he flew, and he's produced an honorable discharge...however, what has Kerry produced? A book that details his stint as an anti-American war protester? Three purple hearts in 90 days, and oh...yeah...HE GOT AN EARLY DISCHARGE SO HE COULD RUN FOR OFFICE?
Does anyone other than me smell a clinton in the mix?
