[history]
The parents of a 10-year-old boy suspended from a public school for sexual harassment are shocked and angry that a playground outburst by their son has been given such a distressing and politically charged label.
Insisting that the first-year principal at Theodore Judah Elementary School overreacted and used poor judgment, they say they are appealing the suspension and want the "ridiculous" punishment stricken from the boy's record.

"So what do I have to do, include sexual harassment in my birds-and-the-bees talk?"
LOL... That's a great line... and sadly, apparently true.

My son was also suspended for 3 days for sexual harassment. He put a strechy book cover on his head and said it was a girls pair of underwear. It was the last three days of school too. One girl had said in front of witnesses that she had targeted him to get him kicked out of school. Nothing was done about this though. Nothing!

This, from the same state that will allow gays and elected officials violate the rule of law. This, from the same state worships Hollywood, the town that considers sex a marketable commodity. But, by God, let them catch a little boy acting like a litle boy, and they want to neuter him. These people should all simply drop dead in their tracks.

The incident occurred four days after the controversial Super Bowl halftime performance during which pop singer Janet Jackson exposed her breast. It was also a week after the boy attended a sex education class. What? You mean what our children see and hear has an effect on them and their behavior?

"The 10-year-old made the remark to a male friend on school grounds. The friend then ran over and repeated it to the girl."
The friend is the one who said something to the girl. It sounds like the friend who decided to repeat it to the girl is the one who should be suspended, if anyone.
If I say something to you out of earshot of someone else, and you repeat it to that other person, I did not sexually harass that person. Unless of course, it is clear that I intebded the joke or comment to be spread around to harass the intended "target." Does anyone really believe this ten year boy old intended to harass this girl?

Many schools are waging war on little boys. What used to be considered 'rough housing' is now considered to be aggressive and threatening behavior, with words, looks and gestures being treated as violent outbursts.

He got in trouble for this. This is why the 3 days suspension on the book cover deal, it made him a repeat offender.

I'm confused. The boy who got suspended said the remark TO ANOTHER BOY, and the other boy went to the girl and repeated it. But the second boy is NOT in trouble?
To: farmfriend
LOL. Mom sounds like an infinitely better role model that the disgusting teachers who pulled this atrocity.

Many schools are waging war on little boysThis was definately the case in the school my son attended. The female vice principal was a feminazi if you ask me. I pulled my son from the school and he has had no problems since.
