The first vote is to end the fillibuster. I'll post the other votes on this thread when they happen and when Thomas prints them. On this first vote, a YEA vote ends the fillibuster.
Everything should happen in the next 30 hours since cloture was invoked. However, right now - Drunken swimmer Ted Kennedy is going on a very long rant.

I used to give money to the CCRKBA but stopped.
I gave money to SAS when they had a big rally and were mentioned in the Washington newspapers.
I stopped money and support of the GOA and will possibly never give to them again. The GOA members should spend less time telling me what the NRA does or doesn't do and should tell me what they have accomplished.
Everytime the NRA has a positive effect on our Rights and the anti's complain about them, I try to write a check.
It's simple. Show me results and I write a check.

I didn't think so. Oh well, I did contact Graham. I will be contacting DeMint also, if he plays ball I will vote for him.

I nearly fainted from shock. Mark Dayton (Dim-MN) voted to end filibuster.Being a "finger in the wind" sort of guy.
Dayton realizes that the coming elections will be the start of his re-election bid(term up in 2006).
He's also figured out that the anti-gun stuff don't play so well with the rural folks, and a large number of the city folk too. ;-)

I see, you are just a poser/bandwagon rider. You won't give money to a group unless you see their name in the paper or on tv. Ever think that those smaller groups that have not been around as long as the NRA could become as big as the NRA if people like you would stick with them and help build them up. You have lost your credibility (sp?).

A group shows me the results and I'll show them the money.
Maybe people like you should spend more time explaining GOA results instead of writing about the NRA.

Edwards, one of my senators, has been MIA for a long, long time. I keep forgetting he's still my senator. It's so nice not having him in the state, ever. And as a bonus, he doesn't vote any more!

Ever think that those smaller groups that have not been around as long as the NRA could become as big as the NRA if people like you would stick with them and help build them up. You have lost your credibility (sp?). Those smaller groups are irrelevant until they start producing results. The most effective strategy to pursue in the support of a principled ideology is to sponsor the groups that produce the largest effort and the best results in furthering that ideology.

Like the NRA has never taken shots at other gun groups? Perhaps you can clue me in on when the NRA has taken a shot at another gun group - other than returning fire? I honestly can think of none. These yappy dog anti-NRA groups and their loud mouth do nothing members annoy me to no end. These people get a server and act like they are the only true defenders of the 2cnd Amendment.
Their blatant misinformation and the strife and division they cause among us sometimes makes me wonder if the people in charge of them are truly pro RKBA or are agent provocatuers. I guess Neal Knox had to do something after he blew his gig.

"The dems should never be in power again and putting them there is stupid." I agree. Make sure Bush gets the message. What he does determines who I will vote for. He can still redeem himself by killing the AWB. If he signs it for any reason, I will not vote for him. And don't tell me that it's my fault if he signs it and loses.

80 million gun owners had the responsibility to see to it that it won't reach his desk. That was the challenge Bush said before the election. That's where the blame will be laid.

So if gunowners don't stop Congress, then Bush is relieved of responsiblity for signing it?
BARBRA STREISAND!
Bush took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, didn't he? Doesn't he have an obligation to honor it regardless of what the people or Congress does?
OF course, we've already seen how he honors it when he reversed himself and signed CFR. But now, you let him off the hook because he said he would sign it. Why can't he reverse himself ( I won't call it lying. Yet.) and kill the AWB?

You are so right ~ I called Warner the RINO yesterday and told him I was gonna vote a straight RAT ticket ~ and then never vote again if he pulled this S**T ~ The guy from his office tried to acted like he didn't know anything about the AW being hung on the bill ~ but did let the cat out of the bag that the phones were ringing off the hook over it ~ Even W has said he would sign it ~ George sure has changed since he was taken under Warner's wing ~
