Senate debate on the gun manufactures liability bill will begin at 9:30 this morning on C-Span2. Expect Feinstein to attach her Assault Weapons Ban renewal rider on it. Also McCain may attach a rider closing the so called "gun show loophole". This is it folks.

Clinton 'no'.
Looks like they want more debate.
Looks like they don't have what it takes yet to get the AW Ban ammendments in.
Perhaps they want to wait for their 'sleeper' to spray a crowd with a 10/22...... Clinton thinks to self, 'what's taking that guy so long???'
To: conservativefromGa
looks like we will get cloture
next we have to worry about Feinstein's AWB amendment

For Gods sake... The 'eyes' have it!
Let's get on with voting down the ammendments.
To: RockChucker
Do we know yet what the amendments are, or haven't they been proposed yet?
I am praying this thing passes cleanly...

now in quorum call
To: conservativefromGa
What's a quorum call?
To: RockChucker
http://www.senate.gov/reference/glossary_term/quorum_call.htm quorum call - A call of the roll to establish whether a quorum is present. If any Senator "suggests the absence of a quorum," the Presiding Officer must direct the roll to be called. Often, a quorum call is terminated by unanimous consent before completion, which permits the Senate to use the quorum call to obtain a brief delay to work out some difficulty or await a Senator's arrival.
