Oscar-nominated actress Charlize Theron has spoken out in favor of gay marriage, branding those like Arnold Schwarzenegger who oppose it "prehistoric".
The Monster star, who grew up around a number of gay and bisexual people in her native South Africa, is appalled that gay marriage is still up for debate in this day and age.
Theron, currently dating Irish actor Stuart Townsend, says, "I just don't understand that at all. It's so unbelievably frustrating.
"I mean, I am surrounded by so many beautiful relationships just in my life, I can't tell you - just so inspirational. And the fact that what the sex is (of someone you love) is an issue is just unbelievable to me.
"I mean, love is such a hard f**king thing - to find somebody who's willing to go through anything with you and stand by you that, on its own, is so hard to find.
"The fact that people want to complicate it even more just absolutely baffles me. If it happens, cherish it! What does it matter if you're sharing it with a man or with a woman? It's very strange to me."
Actor-turned-California Governor Schwarzenegger ordered officials in San Francisco to stop their new practice of granting gay wedding licences.

There are wonderful actors who I avoid to listen because they can't say a single unscripted word. When some can speak smoothly, it's often asinine.
Then again, let's not forget a notable exception:

She's not that great of an actress. So another H'weirdo jumps into the fray, using the persuasiveness of her celebrity status to turn the tide. Yuck! Go back to South Africa, please!

Theron, currently dating Irish actor Stuart Townsend, says, "I just don't understand that at all. It's so unbelievably frustrating."When I suggested to Stuart that I would be OK with our 4-year-old daughter marrying his aunt, he didn't have a problem with that at all," Theron added.
Theron went on, "If it doesn't work out with Stuart, he said I could marry his dog." /sarcasm

I'm sure about five other people told you already but yes she was. I think pummeling one's mother in front of a child is abuse. Her father's temper was legendary and her mum blew his brains out one night. I even went read Sarie Magazine to find out, and it's all hush-hush but I can see where Charlize gets her inspiration from.

Thank you for the picture of the Greatest President of the 20th Century. Even though Hollywood has been headed into the toilet for many years, I think he would be appalled if he could see what it's like now.

She is a darned good actress, but that doesn't make her particularly bright...
Theron, currently dating Irish actor Stuart Townsend, says, "I just don't understand that at all. It's so unbelievably frustrating.
The same frustration that sets in when my 2 year old forgets what comes after 5 and 6 .. the frustration of ignorance..
"I mean, I am surrounded by so many beautiful relationships just in my life, I can't tell you - just so inspirational. And the fact that what the sex is (of someone you love) is an issue is just unbelievable to me.
Who is trying to stop them from loving whomever they want? I know lots of gays, yadda yadda. Ok, I'll one up you, I have a gay couple living in my house right now! (no, its not me or my wife..). They love each other, ok, good for them. They seem committed, etc, yadda. I'll give them that. But marriage? No. Why should we? Whats the purpose?
"I mean, love is such a hard f**king thing - to find somebody who's willing to go through anything with you and stand by you that, on its own, is so hard to find.
Let them love whomever they want. Getting legally "married" is something else however. Can you get that inside that silly little head of yours?
"The fact that people want to complicate it even more just absolutely baffles me. If it happens, cherish it! What does it matter if you're sharing it with a man or with a woman? It's very strange to me."
Miss Theron, you apparently sleep with alot of Straw Men.

"How many times do we have to hear celebrities say "I mean..."
Well, when they don't have a script to read, that someone else wrote for them, dressing up and pretending to be someone else...... you get the idea : )

I do sometimes suspect that
on judgment day, God Almighty is going to accuse many Christian heterosexual marriages of being far less loving than a small percentage of homosexual relationships.
That doesn't make the homosexual relationships right.

Awhhh so now they've gone and resorted to the name calling.
Ohhhh boy I can't wait until the media start reporting on the opinions of people who oppose gay marriage. . . .

I've seen some of Charlize Theron's Ex's. I don't think "love" is a hard thing for her to find. But it may be an odd concept for her to grasp.

Love isn't so hard. She misspoke. What she meant to say was that "when you are in LUST, it is so hard to find anyone who's willing to go through anything with you and stand by you..." (after the one night stand is over, that is).
To: Inspectorette
Typical Hollywood babe! Sexy, good actress, brain full of shinola...

Was it shinola or that other stuff? Sometimes I have a hard time telling them apart...

Keep in mind that Theron starred in one of the worst movies of all time, "Cider House Rules".
