I think it's imperative we be careful where the products we buy originate from. If we have any qualms about the location, we should buy local or from someone we know. Mad Cow disease is not killed in the cooking process according to some articles I read about it.

Therefore, I've been buying more poutry and pig products and COOKING them.

The beef products that I've looked at in the meat department don't even look right. They look like they have been sitting too long.

At least with Avian Flu...Tex just confirmed for me that dies during cooking.

I really want to get a deep chest freezer. I found a few places online I can order Ostrich from. I can then divy that up, cook and store that.

Now the battle is, hubby doesn't want one in the garage due to the room it takes up and I don't want it in the basement cause I'm afraid the kids would lock themselves in it.

This will work out though.
