Vel, did you listen to Mansoor Ijaz on Dayside.
He stated that yesterdays explosions in Iraq (body count now at 271) was state sponsored (Iran). Ijaz said he thought that it was not about religion but was a proxy test. A test to see if the American military had equipment in place to stop their (enemies) rockets. He also stated that he believed that their are chemical weapons in the area and brought up the 30 or 40 rockets that were found some time ago and that 6 or 7 of them were thought to have some type of chemical in the warhead.
Ijaz also mentioned Sistani's ties with Iranian mullahs.

That's quite a heavy death toll.

Mansoor is still pushing that story about the rockets with the chem weapons. Iran would have to be insane to sponsor such an attack in my opinion.

I did hear Mansoor today. For some reason lately when I hear Mansoor, I shift uncomfortably in my seat. That "hinky meter" thing again. He's really pushing and pointing the finger at Iran. I'm curious as to his real agenda. Who is he really?
I know alot of folks here trust him and his assessments, I can't put my finger on why I don't....but I don't.

Thanks for pinging me to the Mansoor Ijaz statement -- I missed it.
I believe it's quite likely that Iran is testing the waters.
I think we need to have a regime change in Iran and Syria, before there will be peace in the Middle East.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) Latest death toll in blasts on Shiite shrines 271 dead, 393 injured, Iraqi Governing Council president says.
Kat I also heard early in the am that 4 of those arrested spoke only "Persian" which they said is in fact exclusive to Iran, so Monsoor must be right
