As the investigation continued Sunday night, it appeared more likely that the young man decided to steal the plane for fun, Wagner said. An aerial joyride seems like a plausible motive, judging from the beer that was found still cold in the plane’s cabin when investigators arrived on scene, Wagner said.
“It looked like they were going to have a good time,” Wagner said.
