February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

Hey I hope that new Thread is OK. My Html is very basic and that took me a while. I got the impression that Justpiper wanted me to do it. So I stayed up really late and did it.

I thought the following important to carry from Thread 3:

It was rumored post 9/11 that OBL already had ebola and shortly after there was much chatter about black pox, the hybrid ebola smallpox virus. Marburg, the German location, happens to be the name and location of a related virus (originally from Africa though) that has its own notoriety in the history of germ warfare and soviet defection.

Think in terms of OBL's penchant for using locations and names for psych-ops as well as direct attacks, and think of 3 military bases around Marburg being closed for 3 weeks for viral decontamination with no media news released. Pink eye or other relatively innocuous viruses surely would be mentioned as the cause in the media right off the bat if true. The fact that the news on these closings has been squelched from the get go is alarming.

I love the Threat Matrix banner. I forgot who crafted the banner. Did Revel do the banner? Please remember, JP, I know you will. Please do not force me to go back to thread 1 or 2 to find out...it could take hours. Ack!

The post about NORAD being on the highest level of alert and all vacations cancelled came from the Final Phase forum, and was posted 2/22 by someone called Wing17.

Re- the Bio. On the HomelandSecurityUS.net site, Jill had posted rantings from the jihad websites. A major site bragged that the "dance of death" had begun, and that if would be 24-48 hours before we would even be aware that it had been initiated.

Other postings remarked that "Operation 8" was already underway.

They went on to talk about weighing the pros and cons of bio attack in terms of effects on future generations. They went to great lengths to justify their decision to do this "momentous" attack. Further, they made reference to Americans having "dog disease".

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia has launched a major military exercise.

The Saudi Defense Ministry said the exercise began on Saturday in northwestern region near the Israeli and Jordanian borders. The ministry said the exercise would last five days and include live ammunition fire.

The exercise was deemed as under the responsibility of the Northwestern Regional Command. A military statement said the exercise would include a series of maneuvers.

The military plans at least another exercise over the next few weeks. The Saudi ministry said the Royal Saudi Navy would launch a live fire exercise in the Red Sea in March.

Ricin letter wanted rollback on truck regulations
Washington Times ^ | 2/24/04 | Jerry seper

Posted on 02/24/2004 12:04:39 AM CST by kattracks

A ricin-tainted letter mailed to the White House in October threatened to turn the nation's capitol "into a ghost town" if new trucking regulations were not repealed, according to the FBI, which has posted a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

The White House letter, processed through a postal facility in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Oct. 17, was the second one intercepted that demanded an end to new regulations mandating more rest and orienting drivers toward a 24-hour work-and-rest cycle.

"Also, recall those two Ukrainean pilots who mysteriously died after delivering their cargo- the same cargo that "someone high up" paid the workers NOT to inspect."

Wow. I don't recall this. Can you tell me when this was reported?

The extreme toxicity of the compound has given rise to the stockpiling of ricin by terrorist organizations and renegade governments like Sadaam Hussien's Iraq (Marshall 1997). As rescently as 1989, the Iraqis are known to have conducted tests on spreading ricin via air (Cowley and Rogers 1989).

Symptoms of ricin poisoning include burning of the mouth and throat, nausea, vomiting, severe stomach pains, diarrhea, excessive thirst, prostration, dullnesss of vision, convulsions, uremia and eventual death. As few as 4 seeds can be fatal if consumed by a small-framed adult (only 3 are fatal in children), and as mentioned earlier, 8 seeds mean certain death for any adult human (Hardin and Arena 1974). All parts of the plant are somewhat poisonous, however the seeds by far are the most toxic (Muenscher 1939).

Would removing the negative battery cable be of any use in protecting your cars electronics??

Not at all. If you want to put away some sensitive electronics for use after an EMP hit, you need to place them in a proper Faraday cage. If we really do experience EMP damage, I would recommend leaving the "good stuff" in the cage until you are very certain another EMP is not coming. It may be a VERY long time before replacement equipment could be manufactured again. Today's computers are designed and built with yesterday's computers. It's difficult to start from zip.

I posted that story. About a week ago. All I remember is they were saying they were trying to find out if they were forced to drink methanol or they did it willingly. One of the pilots last names was Aleg. I've been watching for followups, but there have been none.

I agree with you overall about Daleel. There is a lot of good stuff on certain Arabic boards, but so far, Daleel et al have not found them or are not sharing them. It's Happening regulars were not at all surprised that there were big attacks in SA and Africa last summer because the events were foreshadowed in Arabic posts months before. Some very interesting posts were making the rounds repeatedly for a few months in advance until the attacks occurred. Back then, there was no Daleel, EOM, etc. bragging about anything, of course. Since then, attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq have been foreshadowed, but they are a regular event anyway, unfortunately. I myself haven't seen anything as startling as the posts before last summer's attacks since then. And, of course, those particular posts were from al qaeda suppporters to other al qaeda supporters; they were not at all like the Daleel et al posts that are meant to heckle us.
