February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

I know this is a little OT, but your post reminded me of it. Last night I watched Runaway Jury. I didn't know anything about it before I watched, other than it was a thiller. I don't think a movie has ever made me so angry before. That was the biggest piece of propaganda BS I have ever seen come out of Hollywood. They try to make the firearms industry look like a shady wing of the VRWC with limitless funds to buy off juries, investigate people, and ruin their lives. Of course, the gun banners are next to saintly. I can't even begin to express how mad this movie made me. If you care about firearms at all, do yourself and favor and don't watch this movie if you haven't already. Your blood pressure won't go through the roof like mine did.

Hi Mossad1967,

Came across that lovely one last night. Came across an even more chilling one on the anomalies board, reported by Sean. I wish he would post his information here!

Some of the things he stated were:

There has been a definite confirmation of 40 nuclear devices (in clusters 4-5) across US cities.
There has been intrusion of foreign submarines in the Gulf of Mexico.

The "suspicious divers" are a bit more than suspicious. They couldn't find the one in Hawaii.

The one who was found in the Hudson appears to have been focusing on....Indian River Nuclear facility. A meltdown of this reactor would affect NJ,NY,CT and be an unimaginable horror.

There is opinion that the tanker was sabotaged.

The diver in Florida was also near an area of strategic importance.

He went on further to say that these are just some of the OPENING moves.....prior to the detonation of the nukes.

I wish I did not believe him, but I do. It's overwhelming to consider. (No wonder Norad on alert, all the warnings and plans for 'survivors"...no wonder the general population has not been fully informed.)

Your thoughts?

I meant Indian Point reactor, not Indian River. (Guess I'm so rattled I'm thinking about grapefruit!)

I think that the Shi'ites in the Islamic world are celebrating Ashura tomorrow and Tuesday and according to their beliefs it is the time when a martyrdom operation takes them directly to a higher plane of paradise. Israel is on high alert. I think that we would be wise to keep our eyes and ears open for anything out of the ordinary.

I know the postings on the Arabic boards have heated up towards Israel. Abu Sayyaf took responsibility for the explosion on the ferry in the Phillipines. And we have unprecedented dual audiotapes by Zawahiri.

I think the authorities are taking it seriously.

By the way there's a new update at www.homelandsecurityus.com

The premise of the movie was preposterous. Your're correct - don't waste your money on this one. Anti-gun ownership ala carte with lame story line.

"There has been intrusion of foreign submarines in the Gulf of Mexico."

I wonder what the specifics are on that? If I knew what type of submarine was there and the country that owned it, I could make a pretty good speculation of their purpose for being there.

If it is an SSBN, it is get strategic coverage of the middle of America that may not be reachable from land based sites. This leads me to believe it is China doing the incursion. Russia can hit everywhere they want to hit on our mainland with their missiles.

If it is a fast attack, they obviously want to survey sea lanes and gain intelligence they could use to choke off any shipping traffic that would start there in a war.

Either is significant

how exactly does a diver blow up a nuclear plant? at best, he could damage the cooling water intakes (which by now have been inspected in the case of Indian Point I am sure), and they would just lower the rods and shut down the reactor.

I agree.

We have been at an extremely heightened state of alert at my job for over a month now.

Attacks have been thwarted over the past few months.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to stop them all!!!

we might quietly destroy a chinese sub operating in the Gulf. we destroyed a few Soviet subs in "accidents" during the cold war, including the one that the Glomar Explorer was built to raise (and did).

Heads up! ANOTHER DIVER in Honolulu Harbor:

Diver Sighting Near Coast Guard Station Raises Concern
Woman Says She Saw Person Diving In Area

POSTED: 2:26 pm HST February 29, 2004

HONOLULU -- Authorities are on alert again after a diver was spotted near the Coast Guard station in Honolulu Harbor Saturday night.

The unauthorized diver was spotted about 10:23 p.m. near the Coast Guard Cutter Kukui. The boat was docked where it normally is, at the Coast Guard station at Sand Island.

The incident comes just days after a Coast Guard sentry spotted a diver near the ship. The sighting prompted military and federal authorities to conduct a detailed search of the harbor. Diving in Honolulu Harbor is not allowed.

A woman fishing at Sand Island State Recreation Area told KITV 4 News that she saw some diving in the area a few hours before and found it rather out of place.

"A man in a black diving suit come out from that area, like coming up off the shoreline, walk by that bathroom, cut across, and going towards the waterline," Laurie Johansen said. "He had some kind of a box in left hand, or right hand, cause he was facing this way."

She said the black box measured about 15 inches high and maybe two feet in length. He was also carrying what looked like a fishing spear.

"You could tell he was slowing down looking around, but he had one of those masks across his face, so you couldn't see his face and he had the gear over his head already, completely in black with gloves," Johansen said.

She said seeing the diver at that time seemed odd.

"Because it was quarter to seven and everyone leaves the park at quarter till seven. Divers do not come out in this weather. It's not normal," Johansen said.

The stormy weather brought rough waves and murky water, which are not good conditions for spear fishing.

"My understanding is they are not going to elevate the alert level. They are going to stay where they are, so that's an indication that the Coast Guard is not overly concerned. They are concerned obviously. It is a strange occurrence. They're on top of it, but they're not going to raise their alert level at this time," Gov. Linda Lingle said.

If anyone should spot any suspicious activity in or around Honolulu Harbor, you can call the Coast Guard or you can call 911.

I'll avoid spending the time and money on that movie. The same resources will buy another pound of my favorite powder and time to load some more rounds.

The gun grabbers are hot to destroy the firearms industry via endless liability lawsuits. They forget that allowing such lawsuits makes a legitimate case for suing car manufacturers for any damage caused by misuse of an automobile. The car manufacturer has no more control over how a car is used after it leaves the factory than a gun manufacturer has over their own product.

There is a place for product liability suits for cars and guns. If a steering linkage fails because of poor design or manufacturing and causes death or injury to a driver, that is a legitimate problem. The same could be said of a gun if the slide on a semi-auto flies off the frame and puts out an eye or the firing chamber ruptures when standard factory loads have been used. That is a product defect. A firearm is NOT defective if it dispenses a lead projectile to the point of aim when the user pulls the trigger. That is what is is designed to do.

(Regarding nukes in US cities)

In my opinion I believe the intel reports I have heard over the phone in person-to-person conversation of intelligence sharing within the past month that there are approximately 40 such devices currently within the borders of the United States. That is the number mentioned by a US SOF operator who I am told is a member of one of the search teams.

If suitcase nukes are here in the USA, they would have been used already.
,

Upon what do you base this assumption?

Indeed, and we have every indication that beginning with the past three weeks and continuing to this very moment there are ongoing terrorist operations within the US and along our periphery.

These are Ops we believe are leading up to the use of the aforementioned WMD.

I am currently within a mile of where one such diver was found dead yesterday at a park beach in Dania, Florida. That spot also happens to be the entrance to Port Lauderdale.

It is also the place where all incoming flights to Ft. Lauderdale International Airport make there approach to land with a couple of thousand meters. It is with a hundred meters of where the Association of the US Army is holding its annual symposium. That is why I am here.

Another was found dead in the Hudson River a day ago near a power plant.

A third was spotted by a US Coast Guardsman in Pearl Harbor/Honolulu on Monday and has subsequently not been located.

Three Divers and a Picture Raise Caution Levels

What do this photograph, and three suspicious divers in different parts of the United States have in common, and are the divers connected to terrorism?

Three suspicious divers in different parts of the United States and this photograph are raising a host of questions this morning. Within the past 3 days there have been three separate incidents involving suspicious divers. Two of these divers were found dead, one in the Hudson River in New York State, and one this morning in Hollywood, Florida. A third diver has not been located, but officials from the FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force launched a thorough search of the Honolulu, Hawaii harbor in an attempt to locate the diver who was spotted by the Coast Guard. more.....

The above photograph circulated on jihad message boards earlier this winter. It clearly shows a scuba diver, with a smiling Osama Bin Laden.

According to news reports, police are investigating the death of a man found in the Hudson River wearing scuba gear. The body was spotted floating Sunday by the crew of a cargo ship that had delivered coal to Dynergy's Danskammer power plant, the Times Herald-Record of Middletown reported. Newburgh town police were trying to establish the man's identity. Newburgh is 80 miles south of Albany.

In the meantime, Hollywood FL police need help identifying a diver found floating Wednesday off John U. Lloyd State Park in Dania Beach. A park ranger saw the body about 7:05 a.m. and pulled it ashore. The diver was dressed in a wet suit but had no diving tank or weight belt. There were no unattended boats or cars nearby. The current was strong, and police said the man appeared to have been dead for at least several hours, Hollywood police said. An autopsy revealed the man may have died under suspicious circumstances, but police would not elaborate. The man is described as a white male with reddish hair and a mustache. He was 5-foot-10 and weighed about 180 pounds.

The big questions are:
1. Are these three divers connected?
2. Do they have anything to do with Al Qaeda or any other terror group?
3. What were they doing?

This is a threat that the Department of Homeland Security clearly takes seriously. Late last summer, the Department of Homeland Security has issued a bulletin warning that terrorists may attack American ships or ports using scuba divers. The "Swimmer Attack Indicators and Protective Measures" bulletin was issued on August 22, 2003. The bulletin advised "the maritime industry and owners and operators of maritime facilities of a number of incidents of suspicious activity and possible surveillance of maritime facilities around the U.S. over the past few months."

http://www.thehawaiichannel.com/news/2871983/detail.html

(someone then says- suitcase nukes are boogeymen)

I assure you they are quite real.

When the first one goes off you have have to re-think that last statement.

I do not know of a radiation detector that is effective underwater, or in a channel deep enough for ocean going vessels to navigate up/down river or into a port facility.

Do you???

Hint.. a recent "collision" which has effectively closed the Port of New Orleans to all shipping traffic.

The mysterious oil slick that plagued my hometown and several NJ shore communities a couple of weeks ago.

The pitched naval battle that occured around US oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico at about the same time.

And a mine laying operation in the same area. Oil Rig Service contractors being told by the Houston corporate office to "cease all operations immediately".

This all in addition to reports of foreign submarines ooperating in the Gulf and off the US Atlantic coast.

Hmmmm... mysterious oil slicks????

We have been engaged in a running battles with terrorists for the past two or three weeks and people here are totally clueless about it.
http://www.HomelandSecurityUS.com

I have no intelligence information of course.

But it is true that the smallest fissile nuclear weapons made by the USA and USSR would use tritium boosting to gain significant yield from the smallest possible physical device.

Tritium decays over time, with a half life of say 12 years. It cannot be manufactured without a large nuclear reactor and significant technology.

This is the primary reason to say that the nukes "decay".

Upon what do you base this assumption?

Only that the rhetoric for an Imminent attack coming from Jihadis, Al Zawahir et. al. has been at a Fever pitch for quite some time.

I certainly wasn't trying to disparage you. Far from it.

If they have nukes, and if they are here, a person has some choices. Either extract entirely from likely targets or not. Nukes are all or nothing. You cannot sorta live through a nuke. It's a boogeyman.

I'm of the opinion that if they have nukes, why aren't they using them? What creates more fear...1 nuke every 7 days for 10 months or 40 nukes in 10 minutes? If I genuinely wanted to destroy the USA assuming I had nukes, I'd light a nuke ANYWHERE and release a threatening tape proclaiming the next is coming 7 days hence. After the third one, your words will have meaning and you could hold the most powerful country on the planet in check.

Thats why I say they don't have nukes and THAT's why I say it's a boogeyman. You simply cannot fear them having a nuke until you are absolutely, 100% Sheet sure they do. Nothing but absolute proof will do.

Don't get me wrong here Sean, I like reading what you have to say. I certainly wasn't trying to toss a turd onto the table. I was stating what is logical to me and extrapoliting its end. I perhaps should have given a better explanation for my post initially, but this one serves at that.

There may indeed be missing material, divers, all that. No dispute here. Right now however, we aren't sheet sure what it means. We can take a guess, we can take good, educated guesses. Until we find a nuke or one goes off, It's a boogeyman. I grew up doing nuke drills and worrying about the U.S.S.R. nuking us. The fact is, we as a society did our best to thwart it and went on with life like it would never happen. I'm suggesting the same about suitcase nukes.

Roger, a fever pitch for some time. And I am amplifying your understanding by saying it has very recently gone from a fever pitch to a boil to a rolling boil to actual live-fire combat right here in the United States. We are at war on the soil of our homeland for the first time since 1812.

(The same situation is now facing the UK and Saudi Arabia)

The vast, vast majority of people need to go on with their lives ignorant of this knowledge.

So many, especially here, cry about being lied to by Uncle Sam.

So... some people within the .gov or .mil feel the same way and orchestrate leaks of information.

I believe that had this information I have been reporting here have everything to do with Martians and/or UFO's from these same sources the people here would be signing praises right about now.

BUT... since the info is about terrorists and terrorism and everybodies worst nightmare that directly affects their lives... they simply cannot handle it.

That's my new rationale for keeping my mouth and keyboard silent on Anomalies.Net regarding these specific threats and subjects.

"MOSCOW - President Vladimir Putin (news - web sites) said Friday the U.S. war in Iraq (news - web sites) was a mistake that had encouraged terrorist actions there, adding that Russia would help bolster the U.N. role in the country."

Someone get me a figure on how many US troops were killed due to the Iraqi Army, and how many US troops have been killed by roadside bombs and people taking shots at them while hiding.

Nick, Cspace...et al

I did check the PM's and appreciate the email. I will hang around this forum and post what I know to be factual here.

For those who do not see a real threat, or are unaware of recent events in the Gulf of Mexico I submit to you all the best source I know of to verify what I am saying.

Read this new Executive Order and put your minds to work on why it is necessary for such to be in light of things that have been said in this forum. I am not implying anything, but these words speak for themselves. You do the math.

And realize this was published yesterday.

I will bold or use where I think attention warrants, which is a lot.
