Homosexual Activists Target 'Risky Sex,' Fueled by Drugs

(CNSNews.com) - A crystal methamphetamine "epidemic" is sweeping New York City's homosexual community, activists said, prompting a growing number of users to engage in risky sex. As a result, the virus that causes AIDS is spreading, activists warned.

Leaders of a group called HIV Forum have formed a new "working group" to create public service announcements warning about "the devastating impact of crystal meth use in NYC's gay community."

The goal, organizers said, is to "tell the truth about crystal and keep this top of mind among gay men."

"We believe in creating dialogues with and between gay men about what contributes to risky sexual behavior," Dr. Bruce Kellerhouse, co-founder of HIV Forum, said in a press release. "Awareness efforts such as public forums and PSAs (public service announcements) are a valuable way to encourage dialogue in our community."

According to Kellerhouse, "This working group is absolutely necessary at this critical time in our community's battle to decrease the harmful impact of this drug on the health and well-being of gay men."

"We cannot ignore the direct link between this insidious drug and HIV transmission," said Dr. Mathilde Krim, chair of the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR).

"Methamphetamine use interferes with sound judgment, increasing the likelihood that safer sex guidelines will be abandoned in an environment where a momentary lapse can have enormous consequences," she said in a press release issued last month.

Seems that if we put an end to recruitment that the practice of homosexual behavior is a self correcting problem. Stop them from molesting and recruiting for 20 years and they'll all die out.
